I can't provide you with a link but I found which body shops MBUSA recommended in the Phoenix area on their web site. I'd stick to what they recommend.

Also, call your insurance company and ask them where they send Mercedes for repair.

In my case, I had to have some hail damage repaired and found that MBUSA only recommended Phoenix Motor Company (Mercedes dealer) and one other place in the Valley.

Phoenix Motors is where State Farm sends their Mercedes work and they are also one of State Farm's trusted outfits. I called State Farm and registered the claims then I went to Phoenix Motors who called State Farm with the estimate. State Farm faxed them the paper work in minutes. I signed it and got a ride home. The whole process was painless.

I sent my ML55 to one mercedes Certified bodyshop(that was recomended by a dealer) and I was expected to pick my ML up with my fender flares TAPED(double sided) on, WTF is that... and my hood all crooked... Never will I recomend anyone to Clair auto Body... they ARE AWFUL, I still have to send my car to another body shot to repair the damage they did

Call 1-800-FOR-MERCEDES and ask them to give you the name of the nearest Mercedes-Benz Certified Body Shop.

Don't take the word of some dealer, call MBUSA.

I know where its going... someone hundreds of miles away, may know about a certified mercedes body shop, but Im not looking for that...I called them on the last car, and verified that with the dealership closest to where I was working at the time. And it was the worst experience I have had with any body shop.

I want the BEST... there are a number of BENTLEY, and MERCEDES and FERRARI(to name some) certified shops in the area, some good, and others that are not that great... it just means someone went to a class and they are paying MBUSA money... its as simple as that... Im not looking for what MBUSA is recomending... Im asking locals where they have had work done and NONE have recomended anything by MBUSA... there are other body shops that exist, many of which are better... I want my BRAND NEW car built to MY standards, not MBUSA standards... this car has to be PERFECT, as its going to SEMA in 4 months...

I apologize for the harshness, but I hold my car at a VERY high standard... I went the MBUSA route once, and it was the WORST work I have ever had done on a car... So I would Kindly request that Local owners with body shop experience reply to this thread...

Your car, your call! However, quite frankly you should have mentioned you’re not interested in MBUSA certified because of previous experience but rather first hand feedback from satisfied owners. Best of luck.

BTW, for the sake of other members trying to locate a MBUSA certified shop (not dealer recommended but MBUSA recommended) follow the quoted link.

Oops, I missed your original post. All that I said was redundant. BTW, thanks for the Info.

Ouch, sorry to hear about that. My car was hit last week (no where near as bad as yours), it sucks

Allston Auto Works in Allston on Harvard Ave has gotten great reviews and they do great work (seen in person). MB & BMW dealers in the surrounding area send their cars here also for body work.

And you’re entitled to a Diminished Value settlement – more “better”.
