tire pressure on staggerd 18s

Just upgraded to 18"s (8.5 in front and 9.5 rear) with 245/40 & 275/35 tires. Anyone have any suggestions on what tire pressure should be?

on the tire it states 51 psi is the maximum. When I purchased the wheels, they were all filled to 45. Is it still okay to go as low as 34?

Follow the instructions on the sticker. Just because a mechanic filled them to a certain pressure doesn't mean anything. The law of thermodynamics comes into effect with the max rating on the sidewall.

Oh, make sure you have a good accurate gauge as well. Not one of those little pencil/pen type types where it pops out on the bottom.

You don't deserve your car. (j/k)

The sticker on your car as identified by location in your owners manual.

Thats a starting point per tirerack. From there you adjust based on load, driving habits, etc.
