$756.00 to replace front brakes. is this acceptable?

) I've done both the fronts and the rears on my '03 e320 and i prolly paid about 300 in parts for all new rotors, pads etc and that's from the dealer and not aftemarket parts. The only catch is that the rear pads are trickier because you have to loosen the E-brake then retighten it after the install and you need a torx attachment to get the calipers off. as for the low mileage, i had to change my fronts at about 20k as well, rears at 40k. We'll see how these new pads do. I may think about switching over to ceramic aftermarket pads like pagid. They are supposed to be less messy with brake dust.
On the Service Paper it show that Front Brake is 15% and Rear Brake 40%. So I guess I need to replace Rear Brake at 40K.
After the service, everytime i step on brake it make squelling noise. This also happened before i replace new brake on occasionally basis. When I ask the service advisor, he said that is normal for Mercedes.
It doesn't make sense why Mercedes brake make such a noise for expensive cars.
Even my 00 Camry doesn't make such noise.
Pls advise

I was happy overall. It was done by my dealer, Mercedes Benz of Long Beach. There definitely is NO brake squealing!
I have 10.0 mm left on my front pads. My rear pads were at 2.0 mm.
Thanks to everyone that provides information here. It helps us all!

Now, I am looking for either another dealer, or seconday to do both on a 2001 C class. Anyone in the bay area know a good shop on the peninsula to do this job?

I didn't check him out though.
...or don't modern day Diesel engines do that anymore?

Edit: Mercedes of San Francisco quoted my $510 for rotors/pads - same price for either axle.
I also called John's European in Dublin. They were recommended to me by my boss. They charge $450 for the fronts and $400 for the rears.

28226 FRONT BRAKE PADS GLAZED DEACTIVATED SBC REPLACED FRONT BRAKE PADS REACTIVATED SBC TORQUED WHEELS TEST DRIVE NO SQUEEKING FOUND.
After that I test drive, less noise than before but still squeeking.
Is that Normal? OR maybe dealer is not using Original parts?. OR maybe Original parts is not very good?
How much is to replace rear brake?
