Why does the car seem not to response to throttle on corners?
I have a E320 4matic and I notice that when I'm taking a corner and I gas it it doesn't really do anything until I come out of the corner.

Is the ESP light flashing? I have never driven a 4 matic Benz. I don't believe they have LSD, so cornering in them would cause all four wheels to be rotating at different speeds.

all lights are normal, even with LSD I don't think it would do this. Kinda scary cause sometime I need to weave out of the incoming traffic and I gas it real hard and it does anything. As soon as the car straight out.... zoooooom.

hmm just have to be smoother with the wheel, and input on the gas... you have to preselect a gear if you want to corner nice...since this isnt a manual...if you leave it in Drive.. when u punch it in the turn... your car will want to fish tail because it will disturb the weight of the car because of the rapid down shift down low to the tq band...u want it around 3-4 k rpm going into the turn with a preselected gear.

That's really strange, none of my cars have ever done this. My 5 series just flys out of the corner if I gas it.
Keep in mind I have a 4matic it don't fish tail.

A deeper jab on the gas when you are coming out of the turn will make the transmission kick down to a lower gear for a more spirited acceleration on demand.
As it is now, its in the wrong gear as you come out of the turn & it has to labor for a second before it downshifts itself because of your gentle foot.
I believe if you drive it a little more agressively, it will learn your driving style too & adjust.

I actually get leaded foot quite often. Why do u think I only get 17-18mpg average.
That's exactly the problem. It doesn't down shift and the RPM doesn't response too well. I'll try again when it's dry out,

That sounds kind of odd. I agree that downshifting can get max potential, but punching it in the turn should give him some power. I'd hate not having the ability to punch it in the turns. I would reiterate to make sure that ESP is not taking over. If the triangle isn't flashing, something may be wrong.
