2010 RRS ; BMW K1200R; 14 E350 ; 14 RRS on order
Okay I read the entire thread and I am still not sure how to order this thing.

I also have a couple of questions:

1) Are there different Sprintboosters for each merc or is it the same one for all?
2) I am buying a CLS in a few months but in the meantime I'd like to have this thing on my E(W211). Any chance the same unit will work on both?

and please let me know how I can order it.

I heard that someone was drunk one evening and bought a radar detector. Is that for sale?

Had a more extensive drive with the Sprintbooster this morning on the main roads as I just tested it in my subdivision last night. I think the PCM needs to relearn as when I got on it the first time this morning the car bogged big time. I thought traction control kicked in and cut the power to the engine but when I looked down, the traction cotrol light wasn't flashing. Anyone had this problem? Now it's great and good response from just a tap of the throttle.

Might need to invest in a Valentine 1.

Yes.... It will work on all Mercedes.

There is basically two different types of Sprintboosters. One for Automatics and One Manuals. Other than that they are exactly the same for all Mercs.

Drop SLKFans a line for more details and purchase info.

Or check out the sprintbooster web-site...

Do a throttle reset to fix your issue.

I'm going by memory, but put the key in and turn the car to position 1. Press the gas pedal to the floor and wait 10 seconds, then release the pedal and take the key out. After a few minutes, the ECU will reset itself.

Try searching for the Throttle Reset to confirm.

Thanks....I did that reset last night right after the install. I'll have to monitor it more but after the bog this morning, it hasn't done it since. I think the ECU just had to relearn and now its fine.

You could always remove it before you take it in for service. take 5 minutes to install or remove.

I don't it ever really adapts. You will just adapt to it, so you won't notice it as much anymore.

I did notice that after driving my dad's merc for a week, that I had to get used to my car all over again.

    SprintBooster Installed

I received and installed my SprintBooster on Tuesday, and had opportunity to drive my car in a host of conditions today...took the wife holiday shopping at three different malls.

SprintBooster dramatically increases throttle response, and eliminates the factory "lag" when you push the gas. Part throttle off the line acceleration and kickdown response are much more entertaining. Being stuck in stop/go shopping mall traffic today was not at all a problem, one must simply push the gas pedal a bit less than before. I never came close to hitting anyone/anything and left the trans in Sport mode in a 20 minute stop/go traffic jam. I am still adjusting to the low/medium speed kickdown a bit, it will cause the transmission to downshift two or 3 gears (and take off like a banshe) if you push the pedal too quicky. One could of course have much worse problems I also keep finding myself always driving faster than before without trying....better also watch out for the speed traps.

In summation it was worth every penny, and I recommend it if you are a driving enthusiast who enjoys the performance capabilities of your car.

I also have a E Saks. Its basically an E350 sport that look sort of like an 07 63 AMG. MB built 1000 of them. Gets lots of looks especially now that I have debadged it. Dont worry AMG folks I will never place AMG on the back. I know people are sensitive about that. Looks like a mystery E class. especially with the limo tint all the way around.I have had several people ask me what the heck it is.It is the second best head turner car that I have owned.
Just google Mecedes E saks 5th Avenue Edition.

    Prong Missing

Got SB today. Check engine light comes on. Remove SB and find only 4 prongs and missing one. The solder and prong are missing. Can someone verify if the connector plate to the SB has 4 or 5 prongs? No response as I drove the car around the block. Worse yet there was a NOTICEABLE lag with the SB installed. HELP! Feeling disappointed.

    I drive E500.
