Euro COMAND and Navi version coding, who's done it?
I have a 03 E with a Euro COMAND and Navigation, thinking of having the system version coded so that I get navi prompts on the MFD.
I am afraid that the new version coding will block access to the DVD and/or engineering mode & backdoor. I have read that the newer Euro units are not allowing access to the engineering menu and cannot be modified for now.
My VERY SPECIFIC question is: anybody with the Euro unit had it version coded for the MFD prompt without loosing the capability of accessing the eng. menu?

The navi prompt on the MFD had to be activated by the STAR and once it is on, i dont think it will disappear after the flashing...atleast didn't on mine.
The Eng mode is also accessible after flashing.
I got the CD from England for $30 or so.

I meant if this happens to your the comand....which i dont think will.
As far as i know the version coding happens out of the comand.
The reason i had to flash mine 'cause i got into the eng mode/backdoor menu and pushed 1 too many button
