Does anyone have the P/Ns required for an install in a 2007 E350?

I was about to pay the dealer $900 installed. It seems I can do this myself for much cheaper.

Sweet!!!

I'll post a new thread about the discount since it'll apply to ANY purchase.

Discount code:

Type it in on the notes section at check out.
Confirmed:

Just got a call from Jaime. Cradle and puck for 440.00 or so. NICE!

Thanks again Hector!

Will the V60 BT puck work with any BT phone, such as the blackberry pearl? Some of the phone compatibility listings I've seen include very few phones, and none that Lifeguard had listed that he found to work.

Thanks!

I've got a Pearl - The Puck allows phone calls to be made but does not support phone book download.
You'll have to put addresses in the address book on the Comand yourself, which is easy when using the keypad/board option it provides.
Then when you use the wheel or comand to select a # to call, it'll display the name. IMO it's well worth the investment and once paired it connects when you turn on the car without any manual work[as long as BT is on in your phone it'll auto pair with the puck]. BTW your phone antenna is used for calls, not the car.

Need Help Please.

Hey guess I was too waiting for this ARGOS thing but it seems like they are going to take a long time. I do not know too much about my '03 E500's telephone system, and I have been wanting to get one installed. The dealer is gunna make me pay a heck of a lot of money, and I know you guys here on MB world may be able to help me out. I had done some research on ebay myself but I didnt have any luck so I just thought I should wait for this ARGOS thing. Can you guys help me out. My dealer said that I need a Completer Kit, Core Kit, and a Bluetooth Adapter. But from what I have read some parts arent needed but I dont know if this applies to my car. I need some help....

If your 2007 came with Premium 1 package then all you need is the $400 BT module. It takes 5 seconds to install the module in the center armrest and couple of minutes to pair the phone to the car.

It is a 2003 E500, and there is no phone installed whatsoever are you sure that all I need is that one $400 part and thats it. It will activate my steering wheel and COMMAND, to communicate with my phone. If that is the case then that is absolutely amazing. Please clarify if possible. Thanks. I also do not have any premium or sport packages on my car. And I am currently using a Verizon phone, i'm not sure if that changes anything.

You're in the same boat as me. You need the following:

1. Q-6-82-0828
2. B67875856

This is the cradle kit and the bluetooth puck. If you get these items from the retailer named in this thread, your total will be 443.00 or so. This will give you FULL integration into your COMAND as long as your bluetooth enabled cell phone is on the V60 bluetooth puck compatible list and you get your new phone system activated at your dealer vis SDS.

This is EXACTLY what I'm doing. I should be getting my parts by the end of this week. I'll install and document the entire process and post next week. If you're hesitant, wait for my post.

OH! I also asked Jaime to price out the voice activation kit. It's not a necessary feature but can be added if you wish. Retail is 679.00 or something crazy like that. He'll sell to us for 499.00.

I'm passing on that now but will install it later.

Wow thanks a lot. I looked on ebay for these items but I cant seem to find them, the puck or the other items. What did you type in ebay, or are you getting it from your dealer? Thanks.

Call Jaime at www.oempartsdirect.com and tell them that Clayton or Hector sent you from www.mbworld.org

He'll take care of everything.

Good luck

Yikes! I just looked up the price for the UHI kit (Q6820955) for a 2005 model and it is $660 without the bluetooth cradle! Looks like this will be about $1000 plus installation. Maybe the ARGOS is a better deal for '05 and '06 cars.

BTW; thanks for the huge amount of information everyone's provided me regarding my new (to me) MB!

So, in my 2004 I need to get:

1. Q-6-82-0828
2. B67875856

and have the dealer activate the phone.

Once I get these two item what do I need to do to install them? Is there wiring or power things that need to be done?!

I did. It mentions tons of other parts. Sorry to be so dense, but which parts of this pdf apply to those two part numbers.

The first part of the install doc is for the compensator. Don't worry about this. This part allows for a docked phone in the cradle to use the car's antenna for better reception. You won't be docking your phone, you'll be docking the bluetooth puck instead. So skip that. The next part is installing (Q-6-82-0828) the cradle kit. You will be doing this so make sure you're comfortable doing it before you purchase. Then you install the puck (B67875856) into the cradle. The 3rd part is about installing the voice control module. This is completely optional.

After everything is installed you'll need to have your dealer set 'phone present' using SDS.

Supposedly, that's it. I'm gonna do mine this weekend or next week sometime. Stay tuned.

Yeah, I only got a recorder too. What I did was go ahead and order the cradle from their website. You won't find the puck on their website but put it in the notes along with the discount code that Hector mentioned higher up in this thread. Then call and leave a message asking for a callback. Jaime called me back the next day and confirmed that all parts were ordered with the discount.
