Can someone direct me to the compatibility "list". I have Nextel and use the I-870. Also could someone post a pic of the "cradle" I did'ent really want a cradle in the car. My phone fits perfect in the drawer next to the glovebox and with bluetooth I would'nt have to take it out just press the button on the comand. any way around the cradle?

The cradle will only be used to hold the BT 'puck' which is shown in the link above as you navigate to the compatible phones.

V60 Bluetooth puck and Cingular 8525
I tested my Bluetooh installation (cradle and BT puck on 2003 E320) with a Cingular 8525 phone yesterday. It worked perfectly as well. Here are all the phones that I have personally tested and worked 100%:
- Tmobile MDA
- SprintPCS Motorola L6
- Cingular Blackjack/i607
- Cingular 8525

V60 Cradle and BT Puck install
Yes, I did the install myself; it's very simple. Then I took the car to the dealer to get the "version coding" done so that it can recognize the new hardware (1/2 labor = $70). Please read post #15 of this thread for more details.
Good luck!

I am able to manually input addresses + Phone #s on my COMAND in the SERV menu - Address Book menu.
My Blackberry Pearl's address book does not get downloaded. I popped my SIM card in my buddy's MDA, and the phonebook did not download - What do I have to do in order to get it to download?
Anyhow, Enjoy your BT madness

BTW, I just tested it with a Tmobile SDA and worked perfectly too. I noticed that the "dowloading phone book" messages disapears for a few seconds, but then it comes back. So the updated list is:
- Tmobile MDA
- Tmobile SDA
- SprintPCS Motorola L6
- Cingular Blackjack/i607
- Cingular 8525
Thanks.

Cell phones running Windows Mobile is a good example of phones that doesnt give full functionality since Microsoft have chosen to use the 'handsfree' profile instead. I know that on this thread some posted that they had successfully paired and used a Cingular Blackjack and 8525 but that doesn't mean that every Windows mobile will work.
If you have the option to wait for Argos it will use the 'handsfree' profile and have full functionality with a larger group of cell phones.
Microsoft is aware of the problem and might support SAP in the future.

Earlier in this thread someone posted they have heard from Argos that they would have their first production unit on March 18. So depending on how many is on the list it should be some time after the 18th.

The thing to keep in mind with MBs BT solution is that it uses the SAP profile to communicate with the phone. SAP is used in a lot of cell phones but some used the 'handsfree' profile. It is basically two different ways to accomplish the same but if you have a phone that doesn't support SAP you will have limited functionality. The DL of the address book is one plus depending on the phone there could be others.
So my question is whether the implementation discussed in this thread will give me the functionality I have now with the headset - use of the phone's built-in voice dialing feature.

Anyone get their parts yet? Hector? I can't believe mine aren't here yet. He ships from Virginia and I'm in Maryland. I really wanted to do this install before I leave the country on Monday. Oh well, I guess it'll have to wait.

I have a Motorola RAZR V3C with Verizon service and I am going to add Bluetooth to my 2006 E350, which does not have any factory-installed phone components, using the components discussed in this thread. The V3C has a very good voice command system itself, and my preference is to utilize that capability, just as my earbud bluetooth headset does. So I don't need or want the car's phonebook or voice dialing capabilities.
So my question is whether the implementation discussed in this thread will give me the functionality I have now with the headset - use of the phone's built-in voice dialing feature.

This does not give you voice dialing capabilities. You'll need to add that seperately. So what you;ll get from this that you don't have already is that the information and the buttons the phone has is accessible through COMAND and that you get hands-free (which you might already have using your headset).
You will still be using your phones antenna with the limitations it has. If you already have a god handsfree setup and you are able to dial without having to fiddle with the phone you'll not gain much from installing the MB BT solution.
I am using Microsoft VoiceCommand on my Cingular 8125 and I am able to dial directly from my BT headset just by pressing the button on the headset and speaking something like 'Call wife on mobile' or 'Call Mark at work'.
That is mainly why I am not jumping on the BT solution wagon yet and willing to wait for Argos. Eventually I am going to install it since it bugs me to have buttons that doesn't do anything.

Also, does anyone know the part numbers for the cradle/puck for a 05 and newer model? Is it easy to install?
