Anyone have predictions for w212

It will be up-sized for sure ..and it will definetly continue the styling 'cues' on from the S and C, wheel wells and the rounded behind...other that that I think the interior will look more chrylser-like..just as the new C does..
ANyone else ?

it better be hot!!!! Mercedes needs to step up with the interior options and technology. a whole new high tech design needs to take place, and they better not screw up the body either. im expecting the w212 to be the hottest thing out. they need hid fogs, they need a better sound system, they need better navigation, they need better interior features, they need some thing that no one has already and it needs to explosive.

woooooooohhhhhhhoooooooooooooo and i haven't even started yet.

why you're hoping for a foglight to be HID? There are no such thing of HID foglight, only thing is legal is the headlight, if they were to put one in the foglight, it'll be illegal in most states since it would be way too bright , it's like driving around with your high beams on.

Last year, there was an LS430 on the other side of a stop light with its headlights and fog lights on. The headlights weren't a problem, but man, the fog lights killed my eyes. Now this was in the evening when it was still bright out too. I can't even imagine if they were HIDs. Or maybe they just weren't aimed correctly...

Or just leave them off because they make you look lame driving around when its not foggy.

Pet peeve of mine.. too many morons driving around with the rear fog light on too. Looks like one brake light is on, and bright. Personally, HID/blue fogs are lame. This isnt a rice rocket. The yellow contrast looks good. If anything, go for yellow bulbs.

Why would it be? The W211 is well-positioned between the C-Class and the S-Class in terms of external size. The company isn't going to make the W212 bigger just for the sake of making it bigger. This isn't the 1950s and the company isn't GM. The car is designed from the inside out, and the car may grow a bit if the company decides to add some interior space and can't do so except by making the car bigger. Again, though, they aren't going to let the W212 infringe on their profitable S-Class franchise.

They could easily move the rear seat back and ditch 2" of trunk space. no one would notice the trunk difference. But the existing rear seat room in the E for the size of car is pathetic. I really hope they make more room. Let alone address the other aformentioned issues.

This is from the German Car Fans site. Looks like more electronic nanny gadgets.

Driver assistance in general is a major theme for W212. Expect lane-departure warnings, an eye-movement monitor, traffic-sign identification, road-condition sensors, and stability control that accounts for crosswinds, camber changes, and tire wear.

No one ever sits in the back seat of our cars. When people visit us, we take them out in the golf cart. On the other hand, we take long driving vacations so that every bit of trunk space is important to us.

this is why I think so...

the redesigned C now has the same interior space as the E...

there is no way , mercedes will allow you to buy E-class sized car for the price of a C-class....

plus in the spy pics you can clearly see that the front of the car is wider and longer .

I agree that looks too much like the S and C class but with extra E class lights. Don't really like the look, I always like how the E class is easily distinguished from other MB's but doesn't matter anyways since won't be buying another MB anyways. Too many problems. Poor reliability.
