I thought I would share these pictures of our latest acquisition
Here are the first images of my very rare T-class 55AMG open topped high performance Mercedes-Benz.

This one off vehicle has the very latest 55AMG engine with IC, Improved Carbon emissions electronics. The T-class also has an exhaust system that comes out of the nearside of the vehicle, an idea first seen on the SLR.

The 7G gearbox has been replaced with the more reliable 5 speed Tiptronic gearbox, with touch sensitive gear changing that can adapt to the drivers mood. Mercedes-Benz have introduced an innovative back axle called the Transaxle which is a computer controlled triple speed, limited slip differential that will monitor variable road surfaces, and weather conditions..

Another feature that is only seen on this model is the adjustable skirt that gives outstanding ground hugging effects that can either be operated automatically or manually with six different settings.

The large rear tyres are Y rated low profile high performance items which are required to cope with the high speeds of this vehicle. The side walls are strengthened to cope with the apocalyptic cornering forces that are imposed upon them thanks to the ground effect skirting.

Throttle control has two settings. The slower setting is for when racing against BMW ‘M’ series vehicles, this setting may also be used as an economical fuel saving mode. The higher setting is Super Car devouring mode, fuel consumption will drop to less than 3 pints of petrol per hour.

This first vehicle is only offered in open top form, but later models will see a full convertible model with automatic raising roof, plus an SUV variant will eventually be introduced.
Regards
John

By the time you've asked the question, the 1/4mile is over. 0 - 60... We only talk about 0 - 62.5mph
It's a lean, mean flying machine

John,
What are those strange symbols on the instrument panel by what looks like a throttle? They don't seem to match the tri-star on the steering wheel.

Thanks for an excellent thread!
I've always wondered when they'd put out the T-Class, the spy shots didn't leave too much to be desired.
I realy like how the gas tank filler is 4 inches from the steering wheel. Excellent idea! You can fill it in real time while racing! Kinda like circular breathing.
I'm very excited about this. Now I can rub it into my neigbor's face, who's always bragging about his Lexus GP400 and how it corners and beats this or beats that or how high the rev limit is. I'm so sick of him. This is his GP400:

Those are the speed setting indicators for the new T-class. At it's lower setting, the speed runs as slow as a bimmer. At it's highest setting, it'll run as fast as a ferrari. The non-amg model is said to have the BMW up top and a cheetah down low.

Hi Jim,As per my tongue in cheek description:

The lower badge is the 'BMW' mode, and the upper badge is a 'Super car' mode.
Just noticed hecdog has answered. That lawn mower looks like it will coup de grace, or moe de laun in pretty quick time

Nice picture.

Where are the COMAND and navigation drives mounted?
I heard the special edition models are able to create their own wood interior after chopping trees down with tree-sensing saw blades.
This is madness.
