and personally, I don't really like the big clock on the left gauge. I saw the pics that someone posted from the E-motion event. Does anyone know if the E55 will have different gauges? I think the S class cluster looks much better.
Thanks.
Thanks.

E55 Gauges are the same as the 320/500 sport version just that the needles are red and below the tach, it says V8 Compressor.

i agree about the clock...i rather have it posting other stuff about the car itself...like the fuel level etc. sometimes the fuel level isn't as easily read as my older E.
but compared to the S class, i think its a bit better because the needle is a little bigger and looks younger imo.

Although I do agree I'd rather have other information in its place, after driving the E the instrument cluster is very tastefully done and the clock is not as large and obnoxious as it seems in pictures.

that's only for the Advantgarde model....other ppl have the boring black faced one...but still, it looks quite appealing at nigh too..
After two weeks, i still look for the time where it should be, in the center of the dash .... where passengers will stop asking me the time!

Let's clarify something here, it is AVANTGARDE not advant.

The clock inside the dash is a classic MB thing that came back with the w211 - The dash in the Avantgarde looks the best of all in my opinion (better than the classic and elegance models, Nonsport in the us)

It looks like Cadillac also copied this solution to their CTS. Or maybe old Cadillac also had it?Originally posted by muhri2

No idea, however I do know that lots of MB models in the 80's and 70's had it. Cadillac most probably copied that

I'm not sure having the clock in the instrument cluster is so great. Personally, I'd rather have oil pressure, etc., information as opposed to a clock.

Navigation screen should display digital clock for passengers.Originally posted by skymast

Slightly off the topic, but I have read that the Navigation system will actually find out where the traffic is heavy and re-route you automatically. Anyone read about this...
