Does MB Radio Have a Plug-in For Ear Piece?

I’ve gotten pretty hard of hearing. Like ‘most’ old people, I guess,
“clarity” is the problem. Not so much loudness.

Most small home radios have a little plug-in hole for an earpiece,
with a cord, like you get at Radio Shack for $3.

Just wondering .. do MB radios have a little plug-in hole like this?
That would really be helpful for talk .. which is all I listen to. The
little home radio earpiece makes speech VERY clear.

In the brochure - I note that there is some kind of plug-in access
in the glove box. Guess an earpiece wouldn’t work there, though.

No.

It would be illegal in many areas.

That's an Aux INPUT for your iPod, or casette walkman, or whatever.

Jimm,

If your ride has the LOGIC 7 sound system, then you can change the audio [SETTINGS] from [STANDARD], to [SPEACH] (or something like that, I forget what the option is), to [LOGIC 7]. You could further tune the [SOUND] quality with the [BASS] and [TREBLE] settings to something a bit more suitable to your particular sensitivity.

What is Logic 7? I’ll just be getting the standard MB radio.

I know about the “regular” bass and treble settings. I always set the treble
clear up and the bass clear down. Is there anything more that can be done
to the standard MB radio to further clarify speech?

I realize that ‘MOST‘ radios seem to be judged by how they produce MUSIC
which involves great bass.

P.S. For what it’s worth, I'm not totally deaf. Just find it hard to understand
some speech. Tried various hearing aids. Guess it’s just age, plus too many
Harley Davidsons and airplanes.

HK Logic 7 IS the Standard Radio now in US Spec Cars.. There's no more base level radio in the E's from which you can choose or not to upgrade to a better radio. When you set the radio to "Speech" it is very neutral, clear, and crisp. In that setting you will get the best tonal settings for understanding speech on the All Talk/All News Stations.

WOW! Thanks Barry! “Clear and crisp” - now that’s music to my ears! Sounds
like exactly what I'm looking for!

However - does each station have to be set individually (like GM cars) or can
you set it once and it stays that way, for ALL stations, until you change it?

Its the same for all stations on a given "band". All AM stations use the same setting, all FM sttions can have a 2nd, different setting, CD0 gets one & CDC gets one & Sat gets one.
