Help: WTB Indoor Car Cover

I'm looking to buy an indoor car cover for my W211 E55. Primarily, I'm looking for a very soft material that is effective in keeping dusts off of it. Any experiences with the following? As well, to any recommendations where the best (read cheapest) place to purchase. Any other covers I should consider?

1. Covercraft Form-Fit
2. Coverking Satin Stretch
3. Covercraft Dustop
4. MB OEM/NOAH

TIA

I bought a cover for my Chevelle from Costco. I was actually amazed at the quality, I don't remember the exact cost, somewhere around $29.95. It is perfect for indoor use, I don't know how well it would do in the rain/snow. It keeps dust off and offers protection from scratches and the like. They have a few different sizes available, The one I got fits perfectly. The best part is if you don't like it you could return it.

I'll check Costco out this afternoon. Thanks again.

I've got the MB/OEM by Noah. I have no garage and it has been a great car-cover. I think it was $225 or $325, I can't remember. It will definately serve the purpose of keeping dust off, but you will spend more for protection you don't need.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I think the MB site mentions that it was for $236+. I haven't been able to drop by the local dealer to check it out. You're right, I will be spending the outdoor capabilities of the OEM cover that I really do not need. But the covers on the list are in the same price range.

By the way, many benzes in OK? Referring to your screen name, of course...

There are only 2 dealerships in the entire state. So there are not that many. I travel down to the Dallas/Fort Worth TX area frequently and am amazed at how many there are.

In Oklahoma - a F-350 King Ranch is status/class

I believe I've had four covers and none has fit as well as the OEM for my 129. So well, in fact, I've had people walking by, comment on the fit.

Yeah - Tulsa and OK City? Right?

The F-350 is probably the more practical ride than a W211 on a ranch, huh?

Thanks crb49! I am seriously considering the OEM version. The custom fit coverking satin stretch and covercraft form-fit also fits like a glove. I'm not sure though if they'll last as long.

That's what all the people that drive them in say as a justification for commuting in them....

When I was goin to Tulsa Univ. in the sixties I worked at a dealership called Cars of Italy. One of our first Ferrari 365 GTB (navy blue) customers was a very successful rancher and real estate developer. Took great care of his cars but came in for a sevice with hairline scratches all over.

The GM asked him what happened and he said he wasn't sure..probably happened while he was checking some fence. Turns out he used it like his pickup on the ranch.

When the GM said, "Gene, you shouldn't be doing that. It's a Ferrari."

He replied, "I paid twenty-five thousand dollars for this car. I can do whatever I want with it."

Tough to argue.

Just the opposite here where I see tons of folks who drive very capable off-roaders (Range Rovers, Hummers, and so on) with stubby tires that have never seen anything but concrete and asphalt under its tires. I've seen some that were even lowered!!

You can see some strange things in Oklahoma and Texas. The big money (for the most part) is oil and ranching, with a few huge family farms still hanging on. I worked on a ranch during college wrangling cattle and the owner drove an old (60's vintage?) Rolls, in the fields and everywhere else. But I would bet 50-60% of the cars on the road in OKC are either SUV'S or Trucks, and every one is 4WD, including my wife's Navigator. What the hell you need that for is beyond me. It snows here MAYBE 2-3 times a year, and melts the next day, and there are not that many people working on a ranch.

I have had another contractor pull up in an Escalade, joking to me that he is paying me to much when I can afford a Mercedes. I have not checked, but don't those cost 60-70K
