White LED bulbs license plate
Well was bored and thought I try something simple and different, this is my attempt to make the rear look a little more modern. Is it OK or is it too gay?

The lights you can get at any automotive accessory store, or online. Do a search for "festoon 39mm white led bulbs" you will also need resistors connected otherwise a "bulb out" message will appear on the cluster. It was pretty easy if you need details PM me and i'll go further into it for you.

Look at this thread in the W210 forum: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w210/148800-10-modification-you-all-can-do.html
Many were able to do it, but many also had failures, such as myself. I've been considering going back to stock, even though the look is quite nice. Just not reliable.

Actually, it's not horrible. I'm kinda digging it. Nice garage too, but get rid of the tube TV and throw up an LCD or Plasma!

I'll get a plasma when the old tube goes out, it's one of those funny things when you want something to break but won't and when you need it the most than it breaks. LOL.
Actually I had the bulbs in for a couple of weeks now and seem to be holding up.
Thanks for the nice comments.

I think the plate looks good, but I have to ask about the garage. Are those regular ceramic tiles on the floor? They look awesome, but I would worry about them breaking under the weight of the car, did you have to get a special tile? And yeah it is screaming for a plasma...

Tiles are regular 16x16 beige tile from Lowe's 1.38 per tile, planed on getting racedeck but they cost more than the ceramics and IMO the ceramics makes my garage look more classy. They will crack by the weight of a vehicle, but the key for them not doing so is apply a even amount of thin set especially the corners. I'm very pleased with the results and keep the garage clean and minimum clutter.

Use for resistor
A standard 12V vehicle battery is too many volts for an LED; hence using a resistor drops the voltage so the LED does not burn out. Selecting a resistor of the correct wattage is important since it dissipates energy; Resistance (in ohms) X Current (in amps) = Watts dissipated. The attached gif shows 9V but think of it as 12V (I did not have time to edit it).
