SRS and SOS, you sucks
Ok, the SRS and SOS light come on three times. That's it, i dont care how many day i have to leave my car in the dealer, I just want to get it fixed. The service guy said that he just received info about the SRS and SOS system for the mercedes benz, he said, the software need to be upgrade. I guess they(MB) put windows 2000 in my computer intead of windows XP 
And another thing, guess what do i get for the loaner????????
I get a chevy malibu

Well you may even walk with an MB...my wife called the local MB dealership's service dept. to find out their loaner policy if we did not buy the car from the dealership. Turns out that they no longer have a loaner policy for anyone, just a courtesy shuttle to take you to where you want to go. That's MB, just like my Honda dealer...

MB IS CHANGING THERE LOANER POLICY.
YOUR DEALER YOU PURCHASED THE CAR FROM SHOULD ALWAYS PROVIDE A LOANER ,,
ANY OTHER DEALER SHOULD PROVIDE A LOANER WHILE CAR IS WITHIN WARRENTY.
IF CAR IS OUT OF WARRENTY WE PARTICIPATE IN THE CHARGES HERE ,,I DONT KNOW WHAT OTHER DEALERS DO

During the six years that I had a Lexus, the local dealership ALWAYS had a loaner of equivalent or higher value for me to have for however long the service took. All they usually asked for was a couple weeks of lead time, if possible.
But no loaner at M-B dealers??? That's just ridiculous considering the prices of their cars... bad economy or not.

Jaguar doesn't have a loaner policy for cars in shop under warranty. So' it's why I assured with my MBZ dealer that loaners always provided and if they out, then they will rent it from Enterprise.

Document it. Depending on your state three times and even electronic failures cover you under the lemon law.

My local MB dealer (MB of Escondido) always has loaner waiting for me when I bring in the car for services; if I arrange the appoingment early enough, they can also help me to pick and choose the loaner that I preferred.
They do mention "sometimes" people just drop in without any appointment and they may run out of loaner, so they may need to arrange non-MB loaner car.
p.s.: I also bring in the car weekly for free car wash.
