Installed COMAND and Navigation. Now what?

I've just finished installing a Euro COMAND and Navigation unit in my 2003 E500. Everything is working well but there is one unresolved question lingering in my mind. I've read numerous posts where after retrofitting a navigation system people took their cars to the dealer for some sort of a software update. Can anyone clarify what additional features could be delivered through such updates? I suspect that after an update I will be able to see navigation prompts on a multi-function display but wanted to clarify it here.

Also, would anyone know the name of these updates so I ask the dealer for the right one.

Thank you,
Alex

Hey Alex

Great meeting you today bro, I am happy your Nav is up and running. Let me know what you find out on the bluetooth prompt and the MFD display, I may want to do the MFD, but there is no BT button on mine :-(.

Enjoy your new nav!

Edward, the pleasure was mine and thank you again for showing the way to hook up MOST ring. Without your kind assistance it would have taken me days before finding the right spot where the cables should have been connected.

Hi Alex, I found the part number for the AUX connector, order part A2115409910, cost is like $20.00 and probably has to be ordered from Germany like mine.

Cheers

Thank you, Edward.

By the way, I shipped your CD/DVDs back to you this morning. You should have them tomorrow.

Thank you for sharing all these awesome materials.

By the way, drop me a line with the name of the place where you get your alignment done? I'd like to have it handy as I am looking to add 18 inch wheels to my car soon.

Got them today, thanks.

The place is Tire Dudes, do a google search for the address, they are on 28th street near the 94 freeway I think. Before going for the alignment, go to the dealer and get the front camber (or caster? I forget) bolts, they are needed in case the ones you have reach their limit. The neighborhood might not be the best, but these guys have always done my alignments right, while others have failed miserably.

I just put in the Navigation Unit in my 03 E55 06/03 build date and i have the OEM phone kit from mercedes installed in my car if that makes a difference. Im looking to do the blue tooth so let me know how to start on getting this to work. And also did you find anything else out on getting more things to work with a new update to unlock things?

Justin

If you have the V60 cradle you can get the V60 Bluetooth puck. http://www.wireless4mb.com
