Help pls!!!!

i am driving last night and i wanted to try my car out, so i decided to step on the pedal hard. But the strange thing happen to my car when step on it. The car started to have a clicking noise from the engine, and also my transmission shifter move up alittle bit, so i stop for awhile. But after sometime, i do it again, and again and it still did the same thing. I am so confused, and then after a while the car stated to shaking, i was so scared that i went straight to my garage and i parked it. Do you think it is because of the transmission, or maybe something else. i wanted to bring to a dealer, but i was so confused to bring to the dealer as i experience a bad dealership. Any recommendation of good dealers, around south bay. And another thing, i just want to conform is that problem causes by the transmission.

Sounds like your motor mounts and tranny mounts are shot. I had mine replaced under warranty a while back, should be a one day in and out thing.

Not necessarily if the problem is caused by worn engine or transmission mounts.

If you want someone as passionate about your car as you are, you might try Euroelites. Because of the prices certain dealers are charging , they felt they could give better/more informed service than the dealer on repair and maint items. They are no longer just mods.

Could be as simple as above, a broken mount or even a bad cat converter.Have it checked and get back to enjoying it.

Well the typical problem with our cars with the V6 or V8 is that the motor mounts are known to just go bad. It starts with one mount being dead causing the other mounts to follow suit. My service advisor and tech told me that our cars come in for this repair constantly.

I really doubt your transmission is dead. The shaking while parked is where I noticed my car was acting funny.

thanks everyone for the info, it is just sad that the factory warranty just expired one day before the incident. But i manage to get the extended warranty with mercury. I hope they can did a good job. As i remember before, my w202 has a tranny problem too, and cost me $7000 to fix it. So this time i don't want to take any risk. I hope i can give u the follow up within the one or to 2 weeks. time. but i doubt either the transmission broke down or the transmission mount. thanks

A Very annoying story from Mercury Select Warranty, Due to the problem that i had, The Mercury Select claim that, My issues is already being precondition means that the transmission mount and Engine mount almost blow up before i bought the warranty it. It is so annoying that keep on saying that within 18 miles the mount will not break. About 3 months ago, i bring my car to autoban to check for any problems, and they did change the transmission mount due to some vibration of my car, BUT That was about 1500 miles ago before the transmission mount blow up. This Mercury Select, Still Don't Understand why in the hell i need to buy insurance if they don't want to cover it? SO what Should i do. I was so damn tired of dealing with them and the Mercedes Benz people. Should i just sue the Mercury select or the Mercedes Benz people

I would persist with the warranty company as that is what you purchased for your added security.

When one mount goes bad the rest soon follow.

I see no valid reasoning as to thier explination as to why they wont cover it. You purchased an extended warranty to cover the car for the extended period of usage. You cannot know when a mount will go bad until it has gone bad.
