Need help defining differences in '06 & '07 E350
Hi, it's time to start looking for a E350 for the wife. I've searched and can't find any threads which address the big differences between the '06, '07, & '08 E350's. Not really concerned about the cosmetics, but more mechanical and feature differences. Any input would be helpful. Thanks a lot!

Well for starters the electronics are much more reliable. The SBC brakes were removed in favor of a more convenional design that is a bit more reliable than the SBC brakes were.
I would opt for a 07+ as they not only look better, the interior is just better put together, and its more reliable. Might as well get a new 08 since any dealer will give you a nice deep discount and you get a NEW car lol.

Thanks. It's actually up to her. I'm going to make her drive at least 4 or 5 higher end cars and see which ones she likes. Tough job, but someone has to do it! Maybe I'll toss in a E63, E550, or even a 5 series BMW. She's getting more and more comfortable with the SL so swaying her into a Benz shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Choices...Choices...Decisions...Decisions. Tough job but someone has to do it! It probably won't be for a couple of months but have to start doing my "research" early and start exercising a few cars to see how fit they are.

Yea, I am a bit concerned with the reliability issue. I suppose the '07's are proving to be much more reliable than previous years. So do most agree the pre '07 model E series are not as reliable as the '07/'08 E's?

My 2004 E55 was pretty flawless; however my 2007 E63 is proving to be even more reliable and completely flawless so far. I haven't had one major issue requiring me to go back to the dealer.
