my car makes strange noises when parked in the garage

when my car is in the garage, it makes high pitched beeping sounds (for couple of seconds and stops and over and over again) freaks me out. does anyone else notinced that?

My E350 does the same thing too. Can't figure out why it is doing that

Sounds

My 08 E350 does same thing.

I able to find out that it does it if I leave lights on "Auto"
I was able to get rid of sounds if I turn lights to "off" position before
switching engine off.

My '08 E350 does not make these sounds that I can hear.

hm....thanks. i am gonna try that. it just freaks me out sometimes in the middle of a night when it decides to produce those funky sounds.

I just noticed the same thing -- low volume beeping sound that seemed to be coming from the car. At first I thought it was from a cellular phone or something. Definitely strange. The headlights are set to auto, so maybe that's it.

If it made strange noises when you drive than you would have to worry about it. But at stationary, just the car computer adjusting itself.

Mine does it too sometimes. And I keep the lights on "auto" all of the time. Now I'm going to monitor it and try turning the lights to "off." Thanks for posting.
