That guy ran off because he had no insurance!! If they catch him.. go to JAIL and forfeit his car.
If your car is fixable... this is the time to AMG the front and rear .... oh, the exhaust too!
Let us know what happens.. GoodLuck!

Man I was on I-77 around exit 5 right off of tyvola exit heading north. They had accident in front of us. The lady stopped the car, and I did too. That dumpass hitted so hard pushed me into her SUV. We both agree we felt we were being hitted twice. I'm glad the kid in the SUV was ok. Man, I hope they catched that *******. All this happened around 10:50 p.m. It was happened so fast. The speed we were on is around 60-65 miles.
My car was tucked under the Chevrolet SUV. My front is gone, the trunk was smashed. The ******* back his Ford explorer drove off. Damn, I was pissed. If I was in a Honda, maybe I was badly injury. Luckily I was in a MB, they built tough.
I guess time to look at a new car. Maybe an AMG??? But I still love the E500. Great mpg on the highway. Enough power in the city too. I'm thinking...but for time being, my back beginning to hurt a little bit. Damn...
Thanks for everyone concern, I appreciated for all the comments.

Its been a bad week for accidents; my son ran into the back of an SUV when the SUV braked to avoid some idiot who came out of a gas station. No doubt I blamed my son for his damage.

The insurance company will total the car for sure if the frame is bent/damaged, but also they will total it if the cost of repairs exceeds 1/2 cost of a used replacement, unless you insist that they repair it! The extensive damage will take a long time to repair so better to take the money and get a newer model as the economy is bad and the prices after the new model E-classis is introduced will be much lower.
You can see that the Mercedes passenger compartment is intact, the air bag and seat belt save your face/body from massive windshield injuries and allow you to walk away. Neck injuries do not show up immediately unless the head rest was adjusted incorrectly; I would say your neck should be really sore by now.... even maybe some loss of memory! The E-class is very safe, but the bigger S-class is even safer due to the law of physics dictating the bigger car comes out on top of the crash.
Get a good lawyer, put an advertisement in the papers about the accident and see if any witness will step forward... though it was dark at night.. and get that Ford Explorer.
But glad to see you are A-OK

i was just driving thru where your wreck was yesterday and realized that every time i'm there, traffic just slows to 30mph (or stops completely) and then resumes normal speed by the next exit. and there isnt ever a reason for it!! its no wonder people get in wrecks there...

Here some more closer picture of the car. I'm sure the car is totalled from today inspection. I know it sound sympathetic for me to pose these stuff up here but I had too since I know everyone is a MB fanatic. The reason I am posing these pictures is to show how safe the car really was. Such a major accident with only minor injury. I'm glad I'm still alive. It was so sad looking at the car today. I had to hold myself back from breaking down. Here she is...

Yes, the insurance totaled the car out. Pay me back a little more than what I have paid for it. Well, it's good I guess. Time to look for another car...Maybe the same E with less miles and more options.
