Are crooked seams on my mb-tex 08 e350 normal???

Doesn't look right to me but it's on both seats Can someone confirm this before I ***** to the dealer. Problem #2 is that white strip supposed to be sticking out on the back of the seat?

Serious quality issues. Very unbecoming of a $50K+ car. Aren't you the guy with the misaligned hood?

What does the dealership say? Fit and finish should be perfect (or close to it), in a Mercedes Benz...

I haven't seen MB-Tex seats but those look like someone had been fixing them after damage from an accident. If the car is new, it should not look like that.

Yeah that's me, I haven't been to the dealer yet but I just hit a 1000 miles so it's
time to go soon. What do they do with the 1000 mile check up??

Not normal at all, request new seat covers. In addition, carefully inspect the "rear" seat covers for creasing; an issue addressed for MY07 MBTex vehicles.

The service welcome visit (applicable between 1000 & 3000 miles) includes a diagnostic check and simply addresses any issues you may have.

Those seams should never have passed a quality control inspection.

I don't care what make of car it is. Whether it's a Mercedes or a Tata, that looks like crap. Looks like a blind, one-fingered seamstress that was on a heroin detox, stitched those seats up.

Get them replaced.

I would think the cover will be replaced and possibly the backrest paneling to the “exposed strip” seat if needed.

Wow. That sucks. The stitching is not normal and neither is that part sticking out of the back part of the seat.

RE: Crooked Seams

My 07 550 has one seam at the outer side top corner (same place as your center pic) of the passenger seat with a slight seam mismatch, probably about 60% of that in your your center photo, which to my taste is borderline. I have contemplated mentioning it at my next dealer service....I will probably ask for a new cover next time I take it in.

Your left and right photos are awful, the center is borderline. I would ask for new covers and also have your hood adjusted. I hope MB is not letting quality lapse....again.....for personal reasons as I have an 09 C63 on order; to my eyes your pictures are not particularly encouraging although the C63 I drove last month was pretty much perfect quality.

Good luck with that 1st service visit.

^^thanks, I made an appointment with my dealer this friday. I'll see what they have to say about all this. Hopefully they won't say that's normal then I might have to check out their other cars or show them this thread

Is there anything I can do about this or I'll just have to live with it and tell my friends that how all benzes are

Excuses, excuses; but you do have recourse. Your pics show it. Request a meeting with the next level.

+1

PM Konigstiger....he'll be able to arm you with the information you need to move forward. This is a no brainer. There's no way you should have to live with that kind of workmanship.

If other e-classes are like that what can I say? I did check out one in the showroom and it kind of looked like mine but a little better.

RE: Crooked Seams

Your left and right pics are not normal. The seam in your center pic is borderline tolerable.

If it were my car, I would not have accepted the SA answer and would have contacted your Service Manager. Your dealer should want you to be happy with your new car, clearly the SA was not interested. Konigstiger has helped many here and should be able to tell you who to contact if the dealer management is not helpful.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I guess it all depends on what you'll tolerate. If it were me, that car would not leave the dealer until I was satisfied. There is no way that's "normal". Again, PM Konigstiger....you'll be amazed at what you can get accomplished with the information he'll arm you with.

Good luck.
