I wanted to buy the 4 pieces Blue Illuminated Door Sills, How easy is to install those? have anyone done the installation yet?
Also, is there a cheaper place online or stores, where I can buy these kind of accessories cheaper than the dealer?

Installing the sills isn't difficult but you probably are referring to the wiring harness retrofit that takes quite a lot of work. I would assume you can get an installation guide (a specific one or a WIS printout) if you buy the parts from an MB dealer.Originally Posted by Pekkle

Try a search. There are some pretty helpful and detailed instructions on how to do it posted on this forum. Good luck with the project.

Guys thanks for the help, I checked with my local dealer. They said the parts is about 900 bucks plus installation of 4-6 hours. they said they have to remove the front driver and passenger seat and the rear seat cusion. and total with tax is about $1480.00 and I told them it was a little steep, so I said for $1200 including tax I will do it. What do you guys think?
It was say "Mercedes Benz" for the two front doors, anyone knows what the rear door says? and most Indi-Glo lights has a faint high pitch noise, will these also have high pitch noise?

Uh, I did mine for 169.00, including parts. Looks complete OEM. Got them from www.formymercedes.com and used the DIY found on this forum.Originally Posted by Pekkle

Thanks for the pictures, they sure look good, now I am not sure if OEM is worth that 900 they quoted me plus the super expensive labor. I will search the OEM pcitures and see the difference and decide what I should do.. Originally Posted by Benz-O-Rama

Once again, thanks for the pics!

1200 bucks is kind of steep. I believe there are only two wires that need to be spliced and connected. One to the power and the other to the door, so the sill with turn off when the door is closed

ExploreThat's what I thought, $1200 bucks for 4 sills and installation. but I remember MBUSA list them as a $770 for 4 door sills, plus $95 dollars labor per hour, $1200 sounds about right. as it will take them a few hours to install.
