What type of discounts are people getting on E350?

I have heard that people are getting some crazy deals on these cars, and thought I would check it out if it is true?

Thanks

At an MSRP of 52k, that car is bare bones stripped, go for a C350 instead.

The dealer offered me about 9k off on a 57K car.

Anyone have any new purchases?

I am picking up my new E350 this week (probably tomorrow).
Basically this is the deal I got...

2008 E350 Sport
Black on black...
P1 package (Navi, etc.)
Split folding rear seats
Sport package (18" rims, Dark Wood, Chrome tip exhaust, etc)
Ipod interface in the glove compartment

Lease for 27 months.
12,000 miles per year
I had 2 payments left on my car of $480 each. The dealer covered one and I covered the other.

Out of pocket $1500
Monthly payment $550

This is through a guy who works in the Corporate leasing department of my local dealer. He has taken care of at least 7 of my friends in the past few months. Most of them got a better deal than this, but not by much. All of us range from $505 to $550 per month with anywhere from $1500 to $2100 up front.

What do you guys think?? Decent deal??

What's deal for C350? As I know C is worse equipped in any way. It doesn't even have memory seats.

E is better and bigger car.

I can say - WOW! too. I'm looking for lease and your numbers look sweet unless down is above $5K.

I put 1400 down. I am in Michigan. From what I hear its a Michigan deal only so you may have to go through a dealer here.

Email the internet sales manager of 2-3 different dealerships. They have a lot more latitude than the sales floor. I found killer deals mostly at or near invoice this way. Make sure you include one of the smaller dealers in your state that is "trying harder" due to an off location or smaller size franchise. Once you get a dealer to seriously break the ice, most of the others will follow fast. It's a down economy and these expensive cars are moving slowly. If you're realy shrewed or lucky you will find prices below invoice.

Before I bought my e-class, I was shoping for a new c350. The standard line from the dealer was MSRP only on the C350 due to the fact they only get 4 a month and they sell quick, they could take money off the C300. I found a dealer 2 hours away who was willing to sell the C350 for $400 over invoice. I went back to the dealer and could now buy the same car for $200 over invoice that was sticking to MSRP originally.

MB has incentive to the dealer until July 31th, so you probably could buy a car below invoice.

Best of luck on your hunt,

-David

It looks like MB is fighting practice of a direct e-mail contact of Internet sales manager. All dealer sites have a standard contact forms now. Filled 5 forms, nobody's replied yet.

Incentive can be even bigger after 31st. At least I have a bad experience when I was in hurry to catch incentive and bought a car. Incentive was increased from $4K to $7K after that.

Hi Dema,

You're correct. I've found here in California that most of the dealers have a website that is independant of the "official" MB hosted dealer sites. It's through there I got the direct email addresses of the internet sales team. I also called one dealer directly and just asked for the internet sales manager email and got it.

The dealer sites hosted by MB are a farse. IMHO.

Yep, that's with tax and everything else included. No additional costs. I'm in Brooklyn and got the deal through Sovereign Mercedes. I dealt with a guy that my friend's know there. He's in the Fleet/Corporate Sales dept, not the regular sales team. He primarily deals with large corporations...which is how he was able to get me a corporate discount. I work for a major financial institution and he was able to apply their corporate negotiated incentives to my deal. Overall I'd say I got a decent deal. Could have been better, but not bad...

This sounds like one of the Employee deals that were given to the GM's...MB gave out a certain number of Employee numbers to be used...that is the only way this is possible...congrats on a great purchase
