the sales guy wasnt too happy- I liked it over the BMW I was looking at- someone descrbie the ride-handling- fun etc of this vehicle. I was originally liiking at clk then saw e500 in the showroom and I was shocked.... so nice

The E500 is quick! Being an SLK32 owner; guess that makes me qualified to say so.

I liked how compliant the ride was; plus you can adjust the airmatic suspension to suit your wants. Handling and steering is phenominal...a true sports sedan! A short test drive and I was sold on the car; now a waiter.

Jwmciti, what options did you order, exterior/interior colors?

I think it's pretty interesting how much 'liveliness' finds its way into a car of this size. Not like it's massive, but certainly the V8 gets this car down the road.

I test drove sport models and non-sport, and you could really feel the airmatic tightening up the ride in the non-sport as you click from 'regular' to 'sport II'.

Most of the sport features are cosmetic, other than the tire-width, so E500s with/without sport should perform identically I'd imagine.

but 1200-1500 for a $100 phone?

you could get a bluetooth-enabled phone and get a wireless headset (eg SonyEricsson T68 and an HBH-30 bluetooth headset) (triband GSM phone)

search this forum for 'bluetooth' - I posted an explanation of what it is. Then you can check google for the specific products mentioned in my earlier post.

basically bluetooth replaces the cabling between devices (phone and handsfree unit, phone and computer, etc) with radio communication - no wires.

while unrelated to the vehicle, it does solve the 'how do I handle this damn wire' problem.
