2005 E500 with 'some' BRABUS upgrades
My new wheels..FINALLY!
After months of searching I found the wheels I've always been after. Still can't believe its my car when I look at her.
Couldn't resist having them on the shelf. I sent two off today to get the faces powder coated black and the lips re chromed.
Some pictures of them on the car....

Congrats man... your ride looks real classy! Those are my favorite rims by Brabus...I just wish they came in 19s. Here are a couple pics of a W211 with similar rims (knockoffs) but still nice nonetheless.
BTW, was your driver's side ever re-painted?

^^^The only time the car was painted was to color match the kit to the car. I did notice that driver rear door though I don't know. My car has never been in an accident and thats the first time the paint has ever looked like that
I think it was just the lighting in the stupid gas station cause the other pics don't show it and I've never seen it until now...weird.

Not to offend or anything, but I always thought under lights (neon, puddle etc), were considered rice on cars? Or at least that's how I feel the general consensus has been with people.

Nice rims, car looks hot. Gotta ask an OT question though: have you ever dynoed your car after your "full Brabus upgrades"? I'm really curious what power gains an owner would see in real life, as opposed to Brabus' claims. (Plus owning an ''05 E500 makes it even more interesting). Thanks.

All real Brabus cars come equipped with those puddle lights. Brabus is one of the most well known aftermarket Benz tuners in the industry. His look blue in the picture but they are white and look real classy in person. That is no underbody neon kit like the fast and furious I can assure you. Those side skirts alone new cost nearly $2,500. There is a guy out near me with an SLR722 w/ Renntech upgrades and he decided to this type of lighting the entire way around his car, not just the sides. So trust me, the general consensus when it comes to these type of puddle lights on a fully Brabus packaged Benz is hot

I get it, thing is I've never seen them in person, only neon lights so i thought it was similar. besides someone having it done, they wouldn't have these at a dealer or anything like that, where i could see right?

Probably not see them at the dealer unless you are over seas. From what I have come to see over seas is where you will find a BRABUS MB in a showroom more so then here

I guess you can say I've done my research on mods for the engine cause I would like to ultimiatley have some. But that 'Bang for the Buck' value just ain't there when it comes to this engine.
BRABUS offers a HEAD PACKAGE for the E500's V8 which consists of springs, retainers, valves, and high lift cams. That package is $9k installed
You can purchase headers, E55 modded intake, do a chip upgrade, full header back exhaust with high flow cats that will cost you about $5k. Horsepower gains: 30-40hp
The only thing BRABUS offers that will bump the HP up is their complete engine swap. Which is an "Out dated engine" exact words from a rep I deal with at BRABUS. The cost of this engine: $35k installed and running
Then you have Kleenmanns Supercharger for $9k. Thats JUST the supercharger kit. You still have to drop the motors compression do accept the boost amoung other things.
At this point I'm talking to a couple companies in regards to a custom supercharger or twin turbo kit. Hopefully a sponsorship so I can get it done for FREE

I've never dynoed my car at all. All I have under the bonnet that is BRABUS is the dual exhaust. Sounds great but I doubt it added any horsepower.

Thanks and forgot to mention that head package from Brabus is $8k installed. Horsepower gain: 30... I guess if you spent the money and did the E55 Modded airboxes, headers, chip upgrade, tune, BRABUS head package, high flow exhaust and maybe some diff gears you can get good horsepower out of the E500's motor.
But hell, with all that money being thrown around why not just get a E55 and spend $5k-$9k on the motor and have stupid horsepower gains

Hey what size rims and tires are those? How much did you lower her and what brand springs did you use? Any complaints so far? Im currently working on my 04' E500 and want to know what size rim to go. Does anyone have pics of a E class on 22's? I would prefer not to lower my ride but I cant stand that gap and dont want to be a 4x4....thanks!

As far as lowering its lowered with a BRABUS lowering module. My E500 has Airmatic suspension so it requires a lowering module that multiple companies offer. The ride isn't bad at all.
22's on an E Class? Please no .... just put some nice 20's or if you don't want to sacrifice that factory ride too much then I suggest you stick with 19's and a nice drop you will be set.
Just start another thread pertaining to your concerns and questions and everyone I'm sure will chime in

On cardomain.com, Someone has a grey 03-05 e class wagon on 22's. I don't they lowered it either.
