Well the first few months with the E500 have been interesting. Without question I am very happy with the car, however it has had some problems I will share with you all. Perhaps my experiences will help others sort out problems.

1. MAF died with 350mi on the clock. Did not effect driveability but MIL burning constantly. Replaced under warranty.

2. Fuel GGE never read correctly from the word go- Filled up- GGE showed 3/4. Drive for few minutes, GGE showed full. At times you could WATCH the display sink to empty while driving (in like 30 seconds). Ran completely dry while showing 1/2 tank. Rear SAM replaced under warranty- problem solved for now.

3. A/C quit working with 500 miles showing. "A/C OFF" illuminated on HVAC panel. Dealer pulled an "over pressure" code. Reset and its been OK since. Quit during a 38deg F day while using DEF.

4. AirMatic "visit workshop" since new. Over hard bumps or accel multifunction display would light up. "Right rear shock valve, int short to ground" code pulled. Back to the dealer for two new rear shcoks. As it turns out when the car was built the right rear shock wiring harness was pinched between the body and sub-frame, distroying the wires inside.

5. Left front level sensor replaced under warranty- low voltage reading.

The dealer has been outstanding, always getting the job done quickly and without any headaches. I should mention that this is a fully modified, full spec KLEEMANN car and never once has the dealer given me any problems with doing warranty work. If you live in Colorado consider Phil Long European- they have been great.

MAF = Mass Airflow Meter

MIL= Malfunction Indicator Lamp

SAM= Signal Acquisition Module

Virtually everything on a Mercedes Benz has a three letter abb.

Kleemann, I'm interested in seeing more of your Kleemann car (interior and more detailed pics) Also some more info about how you got it modded (Ie bought then took to it to kleemann) or ordered straight thru kleemann.

I am the director of KLEEMANN USA- the E50K shown in the other picture thread was built at our facility in Colorado Springs. This particular car is full specification (everything available for this model) but you can order any combination of modifications you desire.

KLEEMANN USA as well as all the other KLEEMANN companies will modify your existing vehicle or you may order a vehicle directly from KLEEMANN.

Superb, Unfortunately, I will have to order from europe or the states and install the mods locally since we do not have a kleemann dealer here. Waiting for your extra pics

Saudi Arabia, they have an agent listed but I tried to contact him to no-avail ... He's only an agent not a dealer .. i.e he gets you the parts so I'd rather get them on my own
