What you should not do...
To a CLS or any Mercedes for a matter of fact...

Poor poor CLS, I could probably live with everything except that nose. Man, what a horrible hack job. The wheels are not my cup o tea either, but not that bad. But this is just my opinion. As it stands, seems that 21 people (bidders) think differently. Gotta love the freedom afforded to us by this great country to do whatever the heck we please!

Holy crap, that's one butt ugly front end... To the guys credit, he probably just dropped the car off to some tuner shop ( Unique Whips ) and told them to mod it... Prolly why it's for sale too...!

I actually likes it. Looks unique and cool but i guess it looks ugly to a lot of people as well.
Maybe its like "love it or hate it thing" lol, more hate it though.
Although if they merge the bottom 2 grill lines that would make it look a little better.

POS. Plain and simple, with the ASMA Shark body kit. Akon got his CLS done like this as well, and it is painted burgundy. Absolute horrors were done to these vehicles, and no way would I bid on them.
80K? On a CLS 500? You would be better off with getting a CLS55 loaded or a CLS63 used. More power, less cost, better kit and brakes.

Yuuck. That grille is super tacky, would look pretty decent without it and those nasty (IMO) rims.
O/T but I'm curious, I seem to be in the minority in not liking the look of the CLS, but I know it's based off of the E-Class platform (?), if so, what exactly about it brings it to costing $10+K more than an E500/550? The interior seems to be a bit more extravagant, but is the overall quality and/or ride, etc. more superior to an E-Class?

If you think that car is ugly .... LMFAO you should see his 07 Escalade. How could you f**k up a Escalade right? 24's STRUT grills ... no BODY KIT and NEONS! I'll try to snap a pic of it next time I see it downtown.

I wonder if he's on this forum... I mean I love the guy as an athlete, very talented and skilled guy (I played football in high school for four years). This is the same way for me with many actors, love their work and skill... hate their personality and the way they carry themselves off the screen. Very few celebrities that I like on and off the stage.

What about the CLK being in the same price range as the E class, but apparently since 03+, it's based on C class components? Aren't C class components much cheaper?
Sometimes I think I'd prefer a CL over an S class, but I wonder why it costs so much more, especially when considering that the S class might possibly have more options (comparing fully loaded versions), such as reclining rear seats. Are you simply paying the extra money for a more exclusive, lower production body style?
I'd love to see a resource that explains why certain MB cars cost what they do, in comparison to others

I wonder this about a LOT of Mercedes Benz cars. I've searched for some resource that explains the prices and classes of MB cars, but have found nothing. Why does the CL cost so much more than the S class seeing that it's based on the same platform? Or even ones that seem obvious, like why does a CL550 cost as much more as it does (taking options into consideration) than a CLK550? I know these are very different cars; some of these questions may seem stupid... but I'd like to see exactly where the pricing comes from. Does it come simply from the body style? Does it come purely from features and options?

The CLK, technically, should be cheaper (which I think it is) than the E.

With CL and S, there is a difference. Before (09 CL550 now has airmatic), the CL550 or 500 would come with ABC suspension and the S500 or 550 comes with airmatic. The exhaust tuning is different. The CL is less in number of cars produced (probably a lot less than the S). And the exclusivity. There are so many other little things as well that I can't think of off the top of my head. I would pay the extra $20k for a CL (better that than an SL).

The CLK indeed is a head-scratcher to me, IMO it seems Benz probably makes a much higher profit off of those than their other cars, as it's built off of a C-Class platform I believe and to C-Class specs I believe (probably a bit more luxurious/more Features?), but made to resemble an E-Class more so people would identify it as an "E Coupe" basically, i.e giving it a more prestigious appeal.
