CDI Glow plugs not covered under warranty

1, Is this really true?
2, Are glow plugs an easy DIY?
Thanks

LOTS of Items are NOT Covered
I Would Look under the Emission Warranty ..Im Not sure what it is in your state
That Might be a option
2. Space is a bit limited to get to the plugs but can be done by yourself yes. But like the previous OM606 engine that came before it the glow
plugs can get stuck and break in the head.

I live in Chicago area car is garaged, not heated but above freezing all the time. Fuel purchased from a good retailer.
Wonder if the fault is intermitent? Thus trigering the "check engine light" ?
Dealer hit me with diagnosis charge even though I did not have them change the glowplug. So word to the wise "check engine light" may cost you even under warranty.

What booklet did you see this, and are you referring to the manufacturers warranty or CPO warranty?
