Manheim Auction Pricing

tashakes very kindly posted auction pricing for 06 350's in this thread:

https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...0-pricing.html

A few questions:

Could tashakes or some other kind soul post auction results for 2007 350's?

What is the current premium at auction (if any) for 320 diesels vs the 350?

I know wrong forum -- but what about auction pricing on 06 and 07 BMW 530i's?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks very much tashakes. I take it the results are averages e.g., of the "above" E350 cars that sold their average price was $27,274 and their average mileage was 13,144?

Interesting that the Diesels continue to retain significantly higher resale even with gas prices down and diesel prices remaining well above gasoline prices.

I had noticed from other pricing research that the 5 series appears to sell for more than the E class. I was a little surprised by that given that new the 5 series is slightly cheaper.

Would you mind doing one more? -- 07 BMW 750i

Again thanks very much.

No, the first line is the condition, usually 4-5 is above avg, 3 is avg and 1-2 is below average, you can see that the higher the mileage degrades the condition so it does not necessarily reflects the actual physical condition of the car, for that you need to see the condition report where it show the nicks, scratches and problems if any.

You can also see that there are barely any diesels being sold, so the price also reflects market supply and demand. Same applies to the 530i VS E350. Supply and demand marks the price not the original sales price.

EDIT: Deleted info

The 7 series prices will rapldly decline in the coming months as the new model is coming out. Same will happen with the W211 and next year with the 5 Series BMW.

07 750i
Sale Price $39,011 $35,275 $31,539
Mileage 13,786 27,571 41,357
Total Sold All 12
Not sure I am completely following. Let me restate (on the above) -- The sale price of $39,011 goes with the mileage of 13,786 which would be comprised of the cars that sold with "lower" mileage. The three sales prices (and 3 mileage numbers) represent the averages for each of the three "categories". As 12 cars sold in total, the cars sold in the three "categories" would add up to 12 in total.

Sorry to be slow on the uptake.

Any estimate on how much the 7 series declines over the next few months as the redesigned model hits the streets?

Would you mind doing one more -- 2007 S550?

Thanks again for the help.

Totally OT. First, I think the 750's are an incredible buy. I had one and liked it a lot.

Second, TASHAKES your car looks great. I usually don't like lowered sedans but your with the rims looks just right. Nicely done.

Not OT at all. It's amazing to me the deals on all "premium" cars right now. A 2006 E350 with less than 15K miles going at wholesale auction for around $20K - amazing value. I agree on the 7 series, that's why I'm debating mid-size or moving up a level. I'm just not sure that we really want something the size of a 7 series. We need to drive one.

My wife and I drove an E (both gasoline and diesel) and a 5 series. Slight preference for the 5 series but they are both very nice cars and both have a feel the Lexus GS we drove couldn't quite equal (although it is also obviously a very nice car).

Haha, thanks, the power of being able to adjust the height with airmatic is priceless. I have always lowered my cars some, but with this one, I can actually dial in how much. I love it.

Yeah, you are following correctly, but again, the PHYSICAL CONDITION and MILEAGE of the car is what makes it Above, Avg or Below, which are the 3 columns you see. The total sold is the total on all conditions.

As to the price decline of the 7 and W211, who knows, this is a crazy market.

Cheers

What are you talking about? Oh i see. That is too bad. I suspect a dealer who was not happy.

I have a friend that uses a dealer that will buy from auction plus $1K. I haven't made contact with the dealer yet. I understand that a list of the cars to be sold is available in advance. Does the list include the options (i.e., does the auction company "know" what options are on the vehicle)?

Test drove an 04 745i (I don't like the long wheelbase, defeats a lot of purposes IMO) and it drove great, really loved it. It was great and liked it over the W220, but now with the W221, MB blew the 7 out of the water. I love the 2001 740i.
