W211 Tire Pressure Monitor

Basic = signal off of ABS sensors to detect a low tire...Will tell you that you have a low tire but not which one
Full = Requires a wire harness, control unit and rim sensors also a LOT of labor as the wire harness goes to each corner of the car then inside
I Had the FULL TPMs added to my 211 by MBENZNL.com along with a few other needed items..Please contact MBENZNL.com for current prices

Indirect: Measures wheel RPM through the ABS wheel speed sensors. Since tire pressure easily affects the RPM of the tire and wheel assembly the tire pressure warning light is tripped when it is outside a certain set threshold.
Direct: This uses a actual TPM sensor. There are actually two types ( magnetic and radio). The magnetic is not that common, but was usually and widely used as the initial type of TPM sensors. Now the industry has switched to using RF transmitter type TPM sensors. This method is by far more useful as it tells you actual tire pressures. Though it requires regular recalibration (from tire rotations, flats, tire replacements) and sensor replacement (dead batteries, or broken sensors).
You can buy systems that give you complete monitoring that includes realtime up to date tire pressures from www.tirerack.com who I believe is already a sponsor on these forums. They are made by Orange Electronic: http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...nge+Electronic
Though honestly I wouldn't personally recommend it. I would HIGHLY recommend to everyone regardless of having TPMS or filling tires with nitrogen (which is a really good thing) to check your tire pressures bi-monthly, no matter what.

Also, how did they perform the service? As your location says Huntington Beach, CA and they are in the Netherlands.
Thanks for your input.

Service is Excellent as I worked for Mercedes and his Installs are the same as if the car was built with the option
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
so my question is, can / how do I get the actual tire pressure ? and I also need to replace the sensor, will any sensor work, anyone know the part number ?
Is there a reader I need / can buy ? I dont think my E350 show any readings. I went through all the setting and still can not figure out how to get it to display the pressure.
