Anyone interested in e55 AMG mufflers?
Hi all,
I've got a pair of e55 AMG mufflers for sale. They're off an 04 e55 removed at 20k miles. I paid $1,300 but open to offers. PM if you're interested.

Did u tint your tail light by yourself ? someone quoted me $300 just to smoke the tail light.... how did u do it ? THanx !

you can buy AMG mufflers on ebay or this site before for around $600
I recently sw a pair of CLK BLACK series mufflers sold NEW with only 20 miles on them for $750. so with 20k miles they are worth about $40-500 at most

Those Quad exhaust is about $2k if buy from dealer, they worth at least $750

for around $600-700 and they had less than 1000 miles on them
these have like 20,000 miles on them
considering the life of the mufflers in only around 75000 miles, thats almost a 1/3
just saying $1000 is overpriced for 20k mufflers when you can get blk clks for $700 lol
thats just a fact..

and those AMG tip you see in ebay, the quality really sux..... and looks so bad in the car.... CLK black line muf at $6 -$700 that cant be real

well,, I almost bought a set of EVO AMG CLK BLACK SERIES mufflers they took off their project car which is well know to anyone on this forum
and they were selling on EBAY,, buy now for $700, and were UNUSED
new.. so
you can get AMG mufflers wholesale for about $500-650 ea,, going to the dealer and paying full retail is just retarded,,
there is also CRAIGS LIST<< as well,, bottom line,, there are out there,,
not alot, but see at least 1-2 a month for under $800
the fact you have not seen them does not mean there are not there,
also I reccommend you leave your name at a few larger MUFFLERS shops
when they get a AMG that wants to switch out the exhaust,,
many people just leave them there rish clueless people,, and then the muffler shops sell them or even reuse them,,
so have them call you when they get some THEY ALWAYS DO

anyway, whatever I hope you are able to get $5000 for them,, more power too you, there is always an idiot out there that will pay what you asking,, but Im just saying that asking any more than $600 for 20k mufflers is too much and there are new pairs with less than 2000 miles on them for less than 800..
if you knew ANYTHING about mufflers,, you would know,,
A mercedes does not make the mufflers, REMUS does..
B mufflers generally lose 50% of their silencing ability after about 40k miles,, so after 75k miles, the mufflers are still working but only at about
40-50% efficiency
ASK MAGNAFLOW,, I did lol
why ferrari owners know this too cause after about 60-75k miles they start to get really loud if they have the 12cyl model, from mufflers
ask ANY muffler tech,, or mechanic,, that is why cars with 100k or more are always alot louder than new versions..

As one of the more contributing members of this sub-forum, I can tell you with zero degree of uncertainty, that a set of OEM AMG exhaust mufflers normally sell between $750.00-1200.00, used. Condition being the determining factor.
Regardless of what you're claiming to have seen on ebay, this is the going rate. I challenge you to post links of a set of CLK Black Series mufflers (20 mile take-off, no less) being sold for $750.00
The cheapest that I can remember was a set of W211 E55 mufflers for $700.00, and the tips were in pretty bad shape, IIRC.
Hope this helps.

sold on ebay for 4 months ago,, lol.. and I called about the mufflers and talked people about them..and know what they sold for finally
I know what I saw and I know what I see alot..on CL and EBAY,,
telling you,, if new yes they go or if they have only 500 miles maybe
go for that but used more than 2000 miles,, no way
seen SL and CLK blk AMG mufflers go for no more than 750-800 used..
if you goto any wholesale parts merc place, they get them for like 30% 40% off new, and can get them for like 850-900 NEW..
just priced some for a friend like 3 weeks ago,,
only an idiot would pay retail at a merc dealer...
the retail new is only like $1200 on them, and with 40% off thats like 750 ea for $1500 total NEW.. so what would so idiot pay 1200 for used mufflers

With that said, the mufflers appear to be sold. And I'm guessing that they were sold at a price somewhere in the range that I mentioned. So again, that's the going rate.
