NOT FEELING THE LOOK OF MY NEW WHEELS/TIRE SET-UP

Purchased E63 replicas and Pilot sport Ps2's for my E500 amg sport pkg.
Had the tires mounted and balanced then installed them.
Im just not feeling the new look,
I think one reason is the wide open areas between the spokes that exposes the calipar and rotor excessivly.
Or mybe its the color of the Anthrasite wheel spokes.I just dont know.
There comming off and being replaced with the original AMG's
Anyone interested,heres the set-up
19' 8.5 245/35/19
19' 9.5 275/30/19
offsets are 32 35

I think that unless you have the AMG calipers and rotors the AMG wheels make the normal brake setup look kind of weak.

Heres the new look,
NOT feeling it!
I agree, the AMG calipar set up looks tight,it just dont pop with the regular brake set up.Going back to the original set up.

IMO they look good.

HOWEVER, I'm seeing them in a picture, whereas you're seeing them IN PERSON which is really the only way to judge how they look.

I can see how you would have an issue with the OEM Caliper/Rotor setup looking "inadequate". E63 Rims have a larger exposed area (as compared to E55).

I have 19" E55 style rims with Pirelli P-Zero Neros on my E500, and can tell you the Rotors/Calipers look fine (exposed area is not as large). The all-silver color would also work well with your vehicle.

Chicago, I deff agree with you on the all-silver color.
I think thats really whats throwing things off for me.
Well I guess im in the hunt for OEM e55 wheels.
The E63 reps are up for sale $2000 for the set-up

Just go find the pics and re-name them. Right click on the picture and all the way at the bottom select "Rename" and type something to change the name.
You can then post pics of your gargage.

i have to agree man..it looks weak. i think there are a few reasons:

a) front is way too high
b) wheels are too bare to only be 19s....thin spoked wheels appear smaller so i think 20s and lowered more would have looked cool..but breaks would have been necessary at some point for SURE
c) your front lower bumper doesn't have a real good side profile...what bumper is that? just an 03 stock sport?

18 E63s Wagon 15 GL63 (sold), 10 Turbo TT MT, A36 Bonanza, 20 JLU Rubicon
find yourself a pair of CLS wheels... they are 18s 8.5 front and 9.5 rear.. the offset is diff by 5-8mm (can't remember exactly) ... but it makes the car look nice and beefy.

I had originally painted my calipers silver to cover up the ugly finish they had... but after time.. the brake dust made them look like crap.. so I painted them gloss black and they look great.

your 19s are too "open" ..(as you already know)

I think they look good. I'm a fan of the stock AMG's that come with these though as well.

With the stock setup it looks like your car is higher than mine, perhaps the Airmatic in your 500 isn't as low as the Sport suspension in my 350?
