How much discount on a new 2009?
Hello all. I am a former C55 owner and have been dying to get back in to a Mercedes since the day I sold it. Right now I'm driving a 2008 GS350 and pretty much hate the Japanese version of a sport sedan.
So I am considering an '09 ES350 4Matic with a sticker of 60k. Including all incentives, what "should" I pay for this car?
Does it make sense to wait for the 2010 E and hope for a bigger discount? I am fine with going used on an '09 but there just aren't any out there yet.
Thanks in advance.

Hey solid granite I also have a GS350 and a E500 and before you trade it in for a E350 you may want to consider modding the GS350 with lowering coilovers and wider tires to get the GS350 to handle much much better. Once this is done it will handle better than the E350 and also be much much faster. The E350 is a slowpoke and without the airmatic suspension it is more of luxury ride than a sporty one. Another alternative would be to get a used 2007 E550.
But to answer your question I would wait a little unless they are already giving huge discount on the E.

Stock is dwindling however. The good color and option combos are disappearing fast. My dealer had to trade to get what I wanted. I know for a fact there was only one black/black 4matic on the west coast as of two weeks ago. It was in Colorado.

I just got an E350 P2, pano, auto trunk, folding rear seats for about $500 over invoice. Then there was a $4000 rebate. Invoice was about 57K So I got the car for about $3500 under invoice all told (around 54K). The lease rates on the E-class are absolutely phenomenal. I am paying about 0.8% interest over 4 years. I think on my lease, the total interest payment over 4 years is like $1200. That's unheard of. The residual was pretty good too. My payment is just north of $500 per month.

Right now MB has a 6k rebate plus 0.9% financing.

I got mine in January from a dealer called The Automaster in VT. They gave me some type of employee lease special (that's what the salesman told me at least), which turned out to be 13K off MSRP. The car was 58K.

Not necessarily. The 07+ E350's with either sport package or AMG sport package have a lower and sportier suspension. My uncle actually complains about it being too harsh. It comes with 18's vs. 17's.

There's not quite $12k available to take off an E-class. You can however expect to receive around $10k off with the current incentives plus the 1.9% financing.

I'm looking at an 09 E350 with the sport pkg. I'm going to pay cash, do you think I can get a better deal because I'm not going through the finance hassle or it doesn't really make a difference.

I see where you're coming from. Mercedes is chipping in some cash now and for him to get to $10k off he's probably using up most of his front end profit. Good luck with your purchase
