Interior shoe scuffs

Greetings,
Try as I may to be careful, my shoes/boots are leaving black scuff marks on the carpeting covering the driver's door sill, the lower interior of the driver's door, and on the left front corner of the driver's seat.
Are there any clear coverings for these areas that can help prevent this?

Blue Coral Dri Clean Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner will remove the scuffs drom the sills & clean the hell out of your carpet too. Look for the trigger spray bottle... the new cans have a very coarse scrub brush mounted on top. All you nead to use it the spray with a terri cloth towel.

I remove mine and use what Barry is using (Blue Coral) to clean them out. I use the Blue Coral and use a very soft brush to remove the soil with water. Then I use a MF rag to dry off the part.

Personally, I agree with BARRY45RPM above. Honestly, do yourself a favor and try a search on this topic. . . you'll learn a lot. Good luck!

Okay, don't laugh but this works. I use 3M clear packing tape on dead pedal area and the door sill. It's cheap, reasonably durable and doesn't leave residue. I replace them every couple months.

NOT a bad idea! I was considering changing the entire stone colored carpet and anything that can be stepped on to BLACK carpeting, but the MB parts guy told me it may cost several thousands of dollars. YIKES!

Thanks, my 911 has light carpet and started doing it with that car to avoid constant cleaning and wear.
