E320 Fog lamp to E55 amg fog lamp wiring harness question

Ok. The wiring harness currently on my car does not fit 9006 bulbs which fit into e55 amg fog lights. Stealership tells me that I should purchase 'fog lamp jumper' part number 211 540 8109 and it may solve the problem.

My question is, does anyone on this forum have experience with this problem when doing their amg facelift, and IF so, what did you do to solve this problem? Will this part that the Stealership recommended solve my problem?

Thanks!

Dude, I went to AutoZone and purchased the most expensive 9006 bulb housings they sold. Gave it to the body shop that did the conversion for me and they just cut the old ones off and soldered/shrink wrapped these in their place. 100% perfect so far.

Ok. Bought the 9006 housings for 12 bucks and some crimps for under 20 bucks. One hour later, TADA! Would've taken me 5 minutes if it were daytime and I had some wire strippers... Scissors = BAD.

Again, thanks benzorama! One project down, a million more to go!

so......why wouldn't you rather get the 2 minutes taking original - barely 20 USD costing original adapter cables???

I agree with Steve. why do all these modification when the original part is only a few dollars more than an aftermarket, fabricated part.
