*** Benz-O-Rama's W211 part out thread ***
Here's what I have:
19" VIP Modular - VR05's wrapped in TOYO T1R's - $3500 + shipping.
https://mbworld.org/forums/wheels-ti...1-fitment.html
18" E63 AMG (P030) 2 piece wheels only. These are the rare mack daddy wheels that came on the E63's equipped with the 030 package. Ridiculously expensive. $2500.00. Light rash on one wheel, and rash on the inner lip (out of sight) on another. These are not listed yet, as I'm driving on them until I can get replacements.

VRP shorty headers - Installed myself and used for a couple of months. 899.00

Power folding mirrors w/ switch - Color doesn't matter as you use your existing mirror shells. - $700.00 These are plug and play on the 2003-2006 W211's. You can also have "Auto Fold When Locked" activated by SDS.

Local buyers get first crack at the wheels. I'm also willing to meet up for buyers of neighboring states.
Now here's the caveat....
The headers and mirrors are still installed. Gonna take the mirrors off this week and box them up. The headers will come off in the next week or two. Need to wait until a weekend to do those.

Actually, I like the 7 series, but I'm a Benz guy at heart right now. If the 650 came with a hardtop convertible, that might be in the plans instead of the SL55 but alas....
The only way I'm getting RID of the E500, is if I purchase a redundant vehicle, like the CLS55 or an E63. Currently leaning towards an SL55/600, so if I go that route, I'll be keeping the E500 as a daily. Tooling around in an E500 ain't exactly slummin' it, and it's probably not worth a cup of coffee, so I'll keep it.
Just parting her out to raise some cash as I don't like to finance vehicles. I just don't feel comfortable dropping 45 grand cash in this economy, so I might actually finance a little of this one. Who knows.

I like to finance when I buy since I don't want to tie up a whole bunch of cash (you never know when you have to flee to some small island somewhere
), for emergency purposes. Also, depending on the interest rate, my finance professor told me it is better to finance the purchase, I just forgot the exact details though.About if the 650 came with a hardtop conv, that would be amazing. I'm sure they will since the 3 and the Z both have it. The price will go up a little but it is so worth it. I think that would present a major problem for MB. For example, I wouldn't buy a 6 conv since it's soft top but if it was hardtop and I had the money, oh man, I'd be there in a second. Even my dad, who always talks down about BMWs, said if the 6 came out with a hardtop, he'd buy one. I don't like the new 7 from the back, looks to Lexus LS to me.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Funny though. The wife gave me the "Do we really need a 4th car?" speech last night. I said very calmly, "Yes......yes we do."
She just shook her head and demanded a bigger diamond.
Looks like you've got your eye on a few AMG's. You won't be disappointed (provided you don't get the NA variant)... Glad to see you keeping it in the family
I don't have any plans for my car with the exception of a tune and ELM at some point. Or if I win the lottery or Cory decides to blow out their Kleemann supercharges for 50% off I'll get one of those!
I figure the diamond thing works in our favour. Once the transaction is complete it's done, game over. When you get your AMG, there's all sorts of goodies you can hide in there!!
Great choice on the SL600. The dealer I got my E63 from had a perfect 04 SL600 with 13K on the odo for the same asking price....I drooled over it for about 5 minutes, but then remembered the wife and kids, and bought the car I came for.
If you have a little $$ room in your P30 wheels price, shoot me some pics of the rash and the tread to kelerik1@aol.com or send me a PM.

I'd also keep the steering wheel just for looks.

If I get a free weekend, I'll bolt up the VIPs and see how they look. Tire sizes a different, so I'd need new rubber. Then, if I go with a larger wheel, I'm gonna have to lower it, and that's how it all begins.

The SL600 is just so damn perfect the way it sits, that I'd hate to start goofing it up. It really is magnificent.

For those interested, its this one:

Connected one time, and made 3 passes at the track. So basically, it's brand new.

Benz-O, I have learned much from you and the many others on this forum.
Ya, our 02 CL500 sits really nice, even with just 17s (would love to get 18s for it, especially since the stock wheel tire size is 225, so damn narrow, my E has 245). I guess it's the ABC system and the sportier ride. Also, your brakes look bigger with the stock wheels on
