Update. Satt radio replaced. Was quoted $312 to have driver door handle changed. Apparently not covered in warranty for faulty electronical failure. Any ideas where to get handle cheaper than dealer price.

Still Drives smooth and strong but...

- Ball Joints just replaced
- Rear Shade died.
- Some door handle proximity sensors for keyless no good anymore.
- Panorama Roof is not working well, makes loud gear grinding noises and needs help to close, wont sync.
- Transmission harness cove ($7) replaced after it started to stutter uphill. That fixed it.

Looking to replace it soon, hoping for E55 with low miles.

2004 E320 - It's never left me stranded (knock on wood)
115,700 miles, bought with 59K miles about 3-4 years ago.
-HK sound system
-4 zone climate control, Tactite Metallic Grey.

Maint. done so far:
-Oil changes every 10K miles, used to let stealer do it but now I am. Did the first one about 1K miles ago and I am starting to wonder if they were always changing the oil.
-Full set of brakes
-Center Channel front speaker for sound system
-Lower ball joints
-Engine Air Filter
-two new front batteries (get the warrantee if you go to Batteries Plus as they die after about a year... will get OEM next if I can)
-Heater valve that was sticking open.... and that's about it really.


What's on the plate next:
-Finally did the Motor and tranny mounts last week...OMG.. it's a new benz, not a Mack Truck any more.
-Doing front upper ball joints tonight
-Have everything to finally do the valve covers and spark plugs this weekend
-Fuel pump showing signs of dying... will have parts on order to hopefully get knocked out next week and I should be good for a while.

The only issues I've had are with the gas tank and now the fuel pump which I think are kind of bogus issues. This is my 7th benz and is the nicest so far. Plan on driving this until I can afford to pay cash for the next one... no more car payment for moi if I can help it. Hopefully this car will play along with this idea. Thought the new ML was butt *** ugly in pictures, one drove by me last week, now I want one....LOL

Think I may need to replace the conductor plate and may need a wheel bearing or two.
May need new shocks/struts before too long also.

Hope I do not have the dreaded balance shaft issue develop.....

I do love this car though. Its confortable, reasonably fast and looks great with it's black opal paint.

Sunroof track needs to be cleaned and lubed. Satellite radio could be antenna, or an issue they caused when replacing the CD Player. Are you under CPO warranty? If so then all of those issues ARE COVERED>

2003 E500 traded 6/29/12 for MDX. Had 70K miles with a ton of work done under warranty. Great car if not in the shop! Had to let it go before Airmatic replacement and the dreadful gas odor repair. Great discount from the dealer at 8K off MSRP. Trade in value 9.7K.

2003 E320 w/ 121k and nothing out of the ordinary. Couple of rubber stoppers from the washer fluid tank, aside from that just wear and tear items. I'm thinking some suspension components are beginning to wear out though. Getting some awful cupping on the outsides of my front tires (especially drivers side). Tires have over 30k on them anyway so not too worried about that (V rated).
