On white, yellow or blue. I don't think red goes good. Red is good for black.

Btw, sick car bro

I painted mine silver which is very neutral and closest to the original caliper color. I first tried black on one caliper and definitely didn't like it. Last April I posted a DIY with a photo of the finished silver painted caliper if you're interested.

Can DIY painted calipers look good? I have seen some ugly self painted calipers on the road, mostly on dented up Civics and the like. I'd be interested in the DIY, mcleantmw and would like to see the pics. I have a flint E, I think the silver would look nice.

Nice job. Looks like you put a lot of love into your car. I also think the devil is in the details. I wouldn't rule out paint, but I like the idea of buying new calipers (lazy), and possibly getting them already the right color. Can you buy new calipers and install them over stock rotors? Is there a direct replacement source out there short of buying an expensive Brembo kit? Will those E500 calipers bolt right up to the e350? Any benefit in performace and/or looks?

.....and the most expensive, labor intensive way to go. Calipers have to be completely removed.

Depends on your budget and how long you intend to keep the car. My project cost $25 + my 1 hr of labor.

I am so the same way, been thinking about that for few months now, my car is silver and i am thinking between red and silver. people said power coating is the way to go but I saw some with paint and even power coating still not looking that good because they don't have a smooth finish and those bumpy from the caliper still show up , it will give you color but not that wow look. I am also debating about those brembo decal cover claim to be abs, carbon fiber,or high grade vinyl, looking so good but don't know how good it hold up against the heat though using high temp silicon glue and claim no melt guarranty. Still debating, still thinking and still researching. and don't forget the hassle of removing those caliper and putting it back.

Yeh i looked at the covers as well but i dont know how the back covers will fit they are not the same as the cover ... They look real;y great but i read a post on it here it says its no good for the heat to be traped in the caliper.
