I am in Orange County, do any of you know where to fix a scuffed up rim? AMG e350 2009. Small scuff (1") on the top edge and somewhat deep. Cost?

I had a wheel refinished by an outside shop but through FJ Newport. It cost $200 but was paid by insurance (due to someone hitting my car).

Looks and drives like brand new.

It will happen again. Drive on!

Most OC MB dealers have a sublet company that does onsite wheel repair. Cost should be around $150.

I agree. IMO, this happens most when drivers are getting used to their new vehicles (although some drivers are more prone to this than others). I'd say at least give it a few months before even thinking about repairing... chances are it'll happen a couple more/a few more times.

And yes, I'm going through the same thing myself as well... on BOTH brand new 2009 E350's...

Yea, took it to the dealer. $159 flat rate and 4 hours later. I had looked at the DIY, but, that looks like a $itch.

I told you, the dealer never fix the rims right, unless they send it offsite (Add $ to your final bill). I did the research & did it myself, I will not pay, if it's NOT what I expect to see.

Yes, they outsource the work offsite and the wheels look like nothing happened. Again, it wasn't a major job, but, major enough were I wasn't going to learn on a new car.

It was a $159 flat rate, regardless who bad it can be. I went to Mercedes of Anahiem.

Do not take your wheels to this shop...The quality is just worse and they charge $120 and up.
