Here you go. Pics of my E500 with the grille you describe.

Beware, there's a good number of "self-proclaimed arbiters of taste" that will give their unsolicited opinions and inundate you with negative comments regarding a Sport Grille. My advice... IGNORE THEM

It's your car; do as you please.

is it mercedes emblem overkill to leave the original hood ornament on as well? I'll have to get one of those fillers

Definitely...you either have the star emblem on the grill or on the hood. You can't do both.

Nowadays, the less is more idealism goes a long way. I have the same grille and will be applying it shortly and removing my upright MB star and replacing it with an already received flat hood badge. Look out world!!!...

Chicago Buckeye,I like yo style....

Bauhaus has been with us for quite a while. I am pleased to see its resurgence - in architecture and in cars - today.

I've got an CL/SL chrome grill for Eclass-W211 that I've never mounted. Anyone interested? Sell for $120.

Gotta be careful with it as the new grille's structure does not provide a way for the tab to stick out to pull up the hood. I found this out today as my installer worked on my car. To get the hood up ,you need a long screwdriver to move the lever to the left after the hood is released from inside the car. Believe me,I'm looking for a simpler more automatic method. Any suggestions???...

I baught another one of those tabs that stick out and cut it to fit through the hole in the grill.

It was like 12-14 bucks from the dealer.

CB, are you a MBCA member? The latest issue of The Star Magazine has the premier of a new monthly feature called "Buyer's Guide" and it features the 107.

I know you recently bought a 1987 560SL 107. You might want to take a look. It has lots of good info and details; production numbers, repair issues, etc..

Thanks for the heads-up!

I'm a member of the MB Club of America, so I did get this last issue you mention.

Awesome article on the W107s; confirmed I got a GREAT deal on my 560SL

I tell you, the more I drive this car the more I fall in love with it...

Of course I meant to type MBCA not MBUSA

It was a good article and I'm glad they'll be doing it each time now as a permanent column.

I'm thinking of one. Have been for a while. But don't have garage space right now. I really like your color combo.
