Will non-dealer service break my extended warranty

Will non-dealer service break my extended warranty
My car is 06 - E350, milage is 29k. I have a service B due in a few days along with oil / filter change, air cleaner filter, brake fluid. Dealer quote me $556. If I have the service done by non-dealer, will my extended warranty be broken? This is what dealer told me.

The regular warranty can't be broken by taking the car to an Indy unless the Indy does something wrong and then you want to fix what he did wrong under warranty. Or, what he did affects other parts of the car under warranty.
There's a law covering this (can't remember the name of it.) Service can be done by anyone.
Warranty work (if you want to be reimbursed) needs to be done by the dealer unless a prior arrangement is made (i.e., the Indy will get paid under the warranty.) But not basic service.
Talk to an Indy and find a good one that's MB authorized (you need a good one anyway.) Also, get the Indy's price and see if the dealer will match it (if it's price you're concerned about.)

I got the quote from Fletcher Jones in Fremont, no coupon. It include Service B + (oil/filter change, brake fluid, air cleaner).
Hope this forum has central place where frequent maintenance price can be posted as reference.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and you'll see that they do price matching. You should be able to get any dealer to price match in your area. Dealers want your business.

Just tell'em FJ in Newport wants $329 and there is a 25% coupon that expires on 09/30 and unless they match it you'll go elsewhere. They'll match it I'm sure.

Sounds like he is being quoted for more than a Service B.
B-serv $298-$329
Brake fluid exchange $149-169
Air Filter $62 plus labor (30-40) $92-102
Average SoCal dealer price would be $539-$600......
Per the service sheet air filter should be due @ 52k. With dusty SoCal conditions 30k may be a good replacement time.....

Yeah, I'm doing my service "D" right now .. 2yrs .. $329 - 25% coupon, $79 for the brake fluid flush.
I did see a DIY air filter thread and even after 10k miles some people had all sorts of crap in there. I might DIY air filter and the activated charcoal filter especially with all the fires we've had in SoCal over the past 2 years.
