Front Fog Light reflector fell off
Hi guys,
I saw that one at one of my front fog lights the little round reflector that sits in front of the bulb fell out. I asked the dealership if they could fix it. They told me it is not possible to open the housing and put/glue it back on.
My question now: Is this true? Do I need to buy a completely new front fog light or is there a way to open the housing or take the front glass off and fix it?
Thank you!

My passenger side reflector fell off at about 20K miles, the dealer fixed it under warranty. Now I have both little tabs loose in the reflector housing since they have now both fallen of. It is very hard to notice, but I can say that this has not bothered me too much yet.

If your car is out of warranty, I would not worry about it. One of these days I am going to take it apart and fic this problem myself.

Please send me any other information you might have (from Konigstiger), I also have a Mercedes extended warranty that I purchased when I bought the car brand new. I am curious to see if it is covered, but I doubt it.

It's easy to open up. There is no glue. It's held together by 3 metal clips that you pry off with a flat head screwdriver. There are two screws to remove the lamp housing, not sure if they are Phillips or Torx. The under car cover has specific access panels to work on this without removing the entire front undercover. (I wrote this backwards...). Just make sure that when you put the reflector back on that you open up/widen the claws a BIT(very slightly) that hold it to make it snug.
