hey all, it's a pleasure to join you guys. picked up my CPO 2007 E350 w.sport pk black/black w.nav a few weeks ago, didn't think it was worthy to introduce myself until now, still not that worthy compared to the AMG guys
anywho, went down to huntington beach to The Tint Pros yesterday to get tinted. this place is legit (no I don't work for them), it was def worth it and nice to take a trip down memory lane (lived in newport for 2 years). sorry I couldn't take better pics but my dad's big *** escalade was in the way and didn't feel like moving it, maybe I'll take some more later.

formula 1 pinnacle 15 all around
for those curious it was $429

Very nicely done. Did u debadge or it came like that? Nice pics. Congrats and welcome
Lol, damn SUVs, always blocking our good side (we have a 2006 Yukon XL Denali). But man, those escalades are nice and very comfy... oh, and very fast

Congrats! I have same exact vehicle, but flint grey. Love every minute of having it. AMG's obviously much faster, more bells and whistles...but this car has some get up and go, too. And it is so fun to drive (IMO).

thanks all!
gaazmon - I debadged it, I like a clean *** lol. a little 6lb fishing line, followed by dish soap, claybar, scratch X, wax, and some elbow grease. yeah the escalade is nice but too big for me. my dad just popped in a volant CAI a few weeks ago and he's loves it, you can hear him roaring up the hill lol I told my dad he should have got a denali xl though that is way more baller
Nick - yeah it is really fun to drive, I'm coming from a riced out 4banger 2003 accord so the 3.5 is awesome lol the 7spd tranny is interesting shifts faster than I'm used to. my choice was between black/black, flint gray/black, or platinum blue/ash. kind of wish I went w.flint gray or plat blue people are right when they say "black is not a color it's a career" but I'll live
F1Bobby - hey you seem so familiar? lol

thought I'd share my exp, over the weekend my friend who just got 2010 M5 wanted to get tinted so I went down to the shop I know w.him and ended up gettin llumar air blue 80% on the front windshield. there were a bunch of VLT, UV, heat rejection numbers that I dont remember, I'm sure you can find it online, but goin to school in pomona I've noticed a diff when I get into the car. it's not cool in the car, but the diff is it only takes 5 min to cool the inside down as opposed to my seats being hot for 20-30 mins after I turn on the AC. while driving during the day you can see green/blue/purple spectrum across the front windshield, doesn't bug me at all, and at night there's no diff. from 10ft+ it's pretty hard to make out who's inside, you can see bodies but not people. 15% all around w.the 80% windshield makes the car bearable in heat. would have pics but no diff unless you see in person

Yea...looks just like mine ! I switched out the wheels though. If you are looking for AMG's, I know a guy who is looking for those 10 spokes and will make you a good trade. Local'ish........
What do you use fishing line for? Clue me in!

Used to "de-badge." Slip the line behind the dealer's advertising-badge thingy, and it cuts thru the adhesive-foam. The rest of the stuff listed was used to clean up what was left behind on the paint.
When I did mine (in the summer), I just flooded the area behind the sticker thing with WD-40, and the badge came right off with almost all of the foam adhesive tape. More WD-40 on a rag removed the remainder.
