i've said it a million times and finally just gave up, not sure how you can consider yourself a car person and not be able to appreciate all cars for the work put in, whether it's your style or not.

doesn't sound like you're trying to go too low, biggest thing is just going to be clearing the tire obviously. at 10.5 or even 10 you can def run a much more narrow tire without stretching aggressively. once you start tucking a lot of tire the stretch becomes more necessary, would love to give you more info and an opinion on size, but at that height i would talk to one of the other guys closer to that height.
this thread died lol. might be parting out my car for another hooptie.

my fronts are actually 20x10 with offsets being in the low 30's and my rears are 20x11 with very similar offsets. i could throw my fronts on my rears (probably with 275's) and drive around all day. i doubt you'll have to do any body work with that sizing and a mild drop. lower it first, then test fit the wheels. safest route.

Nothing is set in stone on height. My plan was actually not very scientific. Put the wheels on and lower it until it either becomes a problem, or I can't stand driving it.

I agree completely. Very few of us on these forums grew up on Mercedes Benz. In my adult life, I've had 3. I grew up modifying everything I touched from a Dodge Stealth, to Chevy Camaros, K5 Blazers, and countless Hondas. I was a big CRX guy. I also have a mild custom 53 Chevy. That said, I can appreciate any vehicle that someone takes the time and does the research to modify. There's stuff that I look at and think, "that's not for me" but I try not to condemn others for the choices they make. To each their own.

Thanks for the advice 09W211, I thought I'd have to go the other direction. I've run a 20 x 8.5/10 setup on my other 211's with no probs, I just wanted to do something a little different on this one. I'm not too well versed on offsets and such, so I thought I'd consult the fellas who've been down this road so I can get my setup on, post pics, and let everyone tell me how little they like my car.

lol in for the replies. i'm not great with offsets either, but i'm fairly certain the specs you posted should be ok.

I bought/ordered spacers and lug bolts from ProTuningLab Inc. Mine are 15mm; I really could not tell you what size you need, depends on your wheel offset. Just measure space from fender edge to tire but be aware of space from tire top outside edge to fender spacing. Perhaps others can chip in with precise advise, I am no expert.

Off topic but dear god is that paint flawless. Even where you expect to see rock chipping or normal wear, excellent fitment also Pinebaron. I think I'm taking your car. Probably be gone by tomorrow

they are easy to find, the wheel doesn't matter as long as you have the correct hub dimension to fit the car... even if you don't you just buy hub rings to adjust the size. you can find spacers all day in any size

Thanks. No I'm happy with my 19's and am really pleased with the shocks, tires, fairly inexpensive wheels (considering NJ roads and pot holes) and particularly the ride comfort. Hard to believe but with Bilsteins in Comfort mode setting on this combo, make the ride feel almost as good as on my OEM wheels/tires; seems best of both worlds.

I'd say take it; you'd probably use it a lot more than I do. I had my eyes on a 2014 E63 or even a 2015 E63 when it appears next year but very recently my priorities and obsession have changed; planning to build a house on the NW coast but true.

@Pinebaron That sounds like quite the endeavor but worth it. Family always comes first in anything and I'm sure they would get a much better deal out of that than dad draining the family savings with new rear tire bills on the E63 Maybe both are in your future I sure hope so!

@Crafty be honest here, if you feel under there I am sure that lip has found a few things on the road already lol

Wrong forum, but from what I know about Singapore's car registration it will cost about double what it does in the US.

i think the rears are some where around 4"

the suspension is super soft, i'm hoping to get stiffer springs so i can bring the rear down some more.
