Bumper paint Job cost?

I just got a used 2007 silver bumper to do a facelift on my E320 2004 model sedan.
I paid $200 shipped on ebay. The bumper is original and in good condition except that there are some scratches and scuffs that needs to be fixed and touchup probably.
How much should a paint job should cost to get it repainted?
also i wonder if that was a decent price i paid for the bumper?

Also i upgraded my back look to 2007 already. all plug and play. Total cost for used tail lights and trunk panel from ebay = $208.
see pic attached.

Looks good and sounds like a fun project. I can't give you any estimates, but I had to comment - please remove that AMG badge on the right hand side of the trunk.

Whats up dewana, i would shop around and find a reputable shop that has experience painting high end cars and if you have to pay a premium its worth it. If you remove and replace the parts yourself you can expect a lower price.

By the way if you wear racing gloves while driving you get to keep the AMG badge and dont let anyone tell you what to do with your ride...

I have paid a hundred bucks for painting the front bumper in my friends KIA spectra which is almost the same size. Do a research and you will find something.....

about the AMG - remove it. You have a nice car, but that AMG.....

Mine: 2008 E350 4Matic --- His: 2014 E 550 4Matic
Painting the bumper is probably around $400-500ish.

Glad to hear you didn't put that on.

There are a lot of guys on here who have "debadged" their car by removing the factory badges. Hopefully one of them will stop by here and let you know the best way to do it!

Man, people who put AMG badges on their cars....

Especially when next to the measly "E350". Also, it's COMPLETELY OFF CENTER!!!! AHH!!!! Makes me kinda nuts.

Sucks you got it like that, it won't damage the paint to pull it off. I'd just take it to a Body Shop. A little wax, etc. will take care of any residue.

So is your car a E320 or E350 bc your post says 04 e320, but your pic has e350 on the back. Please tell me you didn't put the 350 badge on. That's worst than the previous owner putting the amg badges on.

An easy way to remove the badge is with fishing line, and a heatgun or hair dryer. Start by heating up the adhesive in the back, then gradually moving the fishing line behind the badge. Once it is fully off, I would use something simliar to GOO GONE, to remove the residue left by the adhesive.

BTW that is a good price you paid for the bumper

Leave the guy alone. No one is fooled by a badge on the trunk. Just like 4" diameter tail pipes do not represent HP. As I have said before, if you want to know if it has the goods, look at the rotors/ calipers.

I bought a new 1978 Pontiac LeMans in Tobacco Brown. Looked like a piece of chewing tobacco. It had LeMans on one quarter panel and Malibu on the other. (Built in Canada on All Saints Day). After my check was in the dealers hands, I noticed and complained. No problem, the salesman picks at it with his fingernail and a big chunk of paint comes off with it. Also had "factory" paint holidays around the window molding. What a Pile. And now GM is ready to build quality cars?

Thanks Clinton Horn.
ya I dont know whats such a big deal for having those stickons. I honestly never cared. its like same for people doing facelift on a regular benz for an E63. it doesnt make your car an AMG either but its the looks. also how about puting AMG rims and new look headlights n stuff?? People just do it for the heck of it. Not a big deal to me.

Those other things are for aesthetic pleasure, poseur badges are to try and impress due to ones inferiority complex, just tacky and speaks volumes about a person.

Also, no matter how nice a car is/looks, true respectable enthusiasts will write it off right away, and judge it by focusing on its poseur-ism rather than giving the car credit at all.

Not speaking of you here, as you can't help that the last owner did it.

Just do a clean de-badge on the rear, leave it up to peoples imaginations.
