Question about Engine Mounts
Last time i had checked the car with MB dealer he advised me to replace Engine Mounts as the engine begin makeing some vibrations.
I will get it replaced soon but i was just wondering what the worst can happened in case they has not been replaced ??
This has happened to me and friends in the AMG group.

When the internal bladder in the MM fails that side of the engine drops about 1/2 to 1" and vibration is transmitted thru the chassis and felt in the steering wheel. Most of the mount is metal and maintains the connection.
There isn't much risk driving until you can get them replaced. Mostly the irritation of a rough idle while waiting at the light.
Dealers charge quite a bit for MM R/R. My local dealer charges $700 for an E-Class. You can buy the exact same MM (Lemmfoerder) for about $65 each. Your mounts are a little more expensive. About $90. But there is some hassle getting them in and out.

Please do not discount the importance of changing these mounts!
