Want to get Quads for my E350

So I recently purchased an 2008 E350 Sport Package and love it.. was contemplating going with the quad setup.. I was also looking into getting a rear diffuser.. How would i go about doing so - I do understand that the bumper lip may need to be cut to fit the quads but would the diffuser go right on top of it? Any help with me much appreciated..

Thank U

Do you have the AMG package? If you do, I think you can just change out the diffuser piece and the quads will fit.

The diffuser piece is part of the bumper (not removable). For sure you'll need to cut the bumper, so the quad exhaust will fit. Depending on which diffuser you get, you'll then need to secure the new diffuser over your current bumper. Most diffusers I've seen were made for the E55 bumpers. Haven't seen one for the non-AMG or the E63 (except for a limited production run for the E63).

I am doing this mod on my CLS500. I recently got the AMG quads, and the bumper will need to be cut, and yes you will need a diffuser. I am opting to get a CF diffuser since I am going through the motion.

Question is, do you have the sport option? If so, then just do the above.

I am in the process of getting the bumper cut. This was the advice given to me by an owner of a excellent muffler shop in Atl:

"Get a body shop to cut the bumper, a good body shop should be able to do it with the bumper on, no problem. If not, go to another body shop. The welding job will be about $90, as you already have the AMG mufflers with the tips."

The first quote I got to just cut the bumper was $700, that guy was totally nuts.

So, I am going to a body shop this week after the CF AMG diffuser comes, so the body shop can use that as a template of where to cut the bumper. After that, the old diffuser peels off, the new one goes on by 3M tape. So far, the quotes I get for the cut are around $100-200.

Double stick tape. I was shocked, the diffuser (OEM) on the CLS runs for about $150, and is just a flat piece of plastic...looks so cheap. I was shocked. It is a thread on here, about how some guys just pulled it off with floss, etc.

Use this site it may help, it has some part blow-up's and pics: http://www.getmercedesparts.com

or...go CF?
