Hello guys, I'm getting ready to due a huge project with my E550 and I noticed alot of people on this forum refer to parts.com to buys OEM parts. I noticed their prices are extremely cheap compared to dealership cost even with my wholesale discount. Are their parts Genuine Mercedes (OEM)? How was your shopping experience with them? I want to make sure I'm dealing with a legit company before I drop a few grand with them. Thanks
Parts.com ships all OEM parts in OEM boxes from MB dealers. I have never had a problem with them, and I make at least 2 orders a month. Be aware the autohausaz.com has cheaper prices on mechanical parts. Just make sure you are ordering the correct parts, when you order parts without providing a VIN, they don't accept returns. They can't verify the part belongs on that VIN.
I ordered lots of parts from Parts.com when I got into my accident. The overnight shipping is reasonable too. I think they get all their parts from a MB Dealer in Oregon
They are an intermediary and will distribute your order to a dealer.
If the dealer screws up, there's no one to call.
Deal direct with dealers. Plenty are online and just as cheap.
Well I had to get mesh grilles for my AMG bumper....no one came close to their $100 lol.....I think it is worth it...They have their number listed but hard to find.
Have used Parts.com twice - including the latest time one month ago. Never any problems. Posters are correct, they fulfill your order through a Mercedes-Benz Dealership. The exact dealership I believe depends on your location and the parts you order. I had parts fulfilled through a dealership in Naperville, Illinois, and via what looked like a National Parts Center in Montvale.
I even got a nice thank you note and receipt from the dealership in Naperville.
Both orders were low ticket items too - plastic fastener snaps, and cosmetic covers for screw heads, etc.
