temp install front plate?

I've got a fix it ticket for my plates when I got nailed for speeding.

My front bumper is not drilled nor do I want it to be drilled.

Any ideas on putting on my front plate to get my ticket signed off that would be acceptable to the police dept?

might be able to use some cable tie wraps from inside the mesh part of the bumper.

i remember couple of guys here have something that attaches inside the hole where you put the MB jack to raise the car or something.

it was weird. i got one of these in oct 07 and when i went and paid they didn't even look at the car. think it was chatsworth courthouse, lapd issued it along with running a stop sign (a stop sign which had been removed then put back for a week and now has been removed ever since) lol ya he didn't show up

What a lame *** cop! Sorry for that. Don't they have crocks to chase instead people with beautiful cars without this stupid front license plate?

Had the same case during last year's labor day weekend at 10AM on the way to Santa Monica - empty roads. Cop had nothing to do wanted to cross the street, saw me at the red light, changed to the right turn lane, pulled me over and gave me a stupid *** ticket. Made 5 form errors (wrong name, wrong address, wrong zip code, wrong traffic conditions, wrong time PM instead AM).

Lucky me, the ticket wasn't in the system. Drove twice to the court to pay the 25 bucks but they couldn't take my money b/c the ticket wasn't there!

i bought a couple of long bolts at the hardware store (2") with wide washers and nuts. mounted through the upper holes in the lower plastic grill. looks great, more stable than ties, no holes drilled, and centered which you can't do with the tow hole mounts. i also put a nice frame on top.

What I did was take a zip tie, threaded through the hole of the plate, through a hollow plastic spacer, around the mesh grill, then back through the spacer and the plate hole again. I zipped it tight and then clipped the ends (still need to trim more). I used longer spacers on the bottom so the plate looks flush. Let me know what you think, all parts available at home depot for about $4.00

I'd have preferred black spacers but they didn't have any.

Let me know what you think.

Your link doesn't work ...

I ended up putting screws through the front mesh grill, BUT, I removed the plates as soon as I got my ticket signed off.

I'd like a better method because I had to remove the mesh grill to put the screws through and I don't want to do that again.
