Hello,

Here the list:
002 542 72 19
002 542 26 19
002 542 13 19
I ordered 1 from rm european web site. They sent me the

Hello Konistiger,
I have to ask you another question about the relay.
The reason is today I called to Mercerdes Dealer to buy Airmatic relay. It is ParkPlace Motorcars of Dallas, talked to Randy at part department. When I asked him about part#, he told me it is 002 542 72 19 and it is $65 and it is on back order.
I told him about 002 452 23 19, he says, "I don't know, if you want 002 452 23 19, it is $17".
Now, I am even confuser. what is 002 542 72 19 for? on the relay list on your post. It says, "Pneumatic suspension k76" Am I supposed to change it after changing out Air compressor? What is the location for it?
The reason I looking for the relay because I just changed out the air compressor.

Also, another confused situation for me is the orginal relay in slot S in the SAM in my car is Hella relay, part# 002 542 13 19 with Mercedes logo on it, and made in Spain.

Many thanks in advance, Konistiger.

I would base my purchase on part # found in vehicle, 0025427219 replaces original 0025421319 installed at production. BTW, what leads you to believe it is the relay and not fuse f74 (40A) @ front prefuse panel?

I am not the first owner. That is the reason why I don't trust the original relay part# as the people often play with it.

I just changed the compressor and want to change the relay and fuse as recommendations.
The original compressor stopped working b/c the air hose was broken and the compressor just sucked all the dust in bypassing the air filter.
Germany car makers are famous about their plastic and rubber parts.
On your relay list, It has both
002 542 23 19 Airmatic slot S and
002 542 13 19 Pneumatic suspension K67, replace by 002 542 72 19
Why is that?
Is Airmatic = Pneumatic suspension?
Should I go with 002 542 72 19 or 002 542 23 19 or 002 542 13 19?

On the forum, most people talking about the after-market Hella 002 542 13 19, made in china.

Does the relay part# depend on car VIN# or year make or model#?

Thanks,
HD

I agree you should replace associated relay when replacing malfunctioning compressor. Spoke with several parts managers and all concur 0025427219 is correct for your 211.070 unknown why both part #s reference Airmatic - your call OEM (parts.com $31.62 or getmercedesparts.com $34.50) or aftermarket (autohausaz.com $14.17) my recommendation - OEM.

EPC shows 0025427619 as starter relay for G400CDI, not listed on e320 relay list correct OEM part for your e320 is 0025427219. See post 5 to identify location.

2005 E500 4Matic
Hi all. I know this question has been beaten to death, but i'm still confused. For my '05 E500 4matic, autohauzAZ only has 002 542 26 19 (Hella OEM), which is a 4 prong "multipurpose" relay. It is the only one they sell and looks exactly like the 002 542 13 19 that is the "correct" part number. http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro...nation%20Relay

I ordered it but am now hesitant to try it. Does anyone know if it will work in place of the other part number given that it looks the same and is "multipurpose"?
